Yearbook Cover Contest Theme: “Set Sail….”

Design what you think the theme “Set Sail…” means and how it relates to Blythe

Academy. (You may use Montague)

Design MUST include Blythe Academy of Languages and the year 2016-2017.

Guidelines:

1. Use an 8.5” X 11” sheet of paper

2. Design may be horizontal or vertical

3. Any art medium may be used—crayon, paint, pastels, markers, colored pencils,

etc. Using materials that create texture give added dimension to the design.

4. What you decide to design for the cover is up to you. Due to copyright laws, all

designs must be original to you; for example, you may NOT TRACE from a

book.

5. Your design must be in color. Avoid leaving any white spaces or background.

6. Keep what’s important in your design (school name, date) away from the

edges of the paper.

7. Write your first and last name, grade level and Homeroom Teacher’s name on

the BACK of your cover design.

All entries are due to Sra. Lobengilo by Feb. 17th, 2017. (Please give to your

homeroom teacher or put them in my box). Entries will be judged by the staff.

Winner (1) and runners up (1 per grade level) will be announced by March 1st. The

winning picture will be on the front cover, runners up will be on the back cover.
