The Editor Says
The past twelve months have been fantastic, not just for our country, butalso for our club. As we go into our 65th year Ive been thinking of all theachievements. Weve performed a Shakespeare play (of sorts) for the firsttime in living memory but also at a theatre in Beaconsfield. Our talented
youth team has produced their own show and performed it at a professionaltheatre in the Woking Drama Festival where they picked up an award. The
club threw a birthday party and variety night all in one. Looking at the
talent, the abilities and the enthusiasm we have...
This is a club to be proud of and its always growing.
This club means the world to me: giving me the structure and support Ineeded in my teenage years when it is so easy to go off the rails. An added
bonus is all the skills I have learnt are used in my career. Thank you forsupporting this club - because we love putting on shows but also youre
helping the people & children who need that nudge in the right direction.
And if your wondering if this is the club for you... There are so many roles it
is sometimes easy to forget all the cogs thatmake a show; lighting, buying props and
even making the tea! As long as your up forhaving fun, making friends & giving it 110%:
your very welcome here.

Hello and welcome to what is going to be a fantastic show that I can proudly say
that I have had the opportunity to co- direct.
Taking the step from being an on stage performer to director has been toughand challenging but having been surrounded by a cast of wonderful talent and ahardworking crew, everyone has pulled together to showcase a long standingtradition for this club in its 65 th year of existence. The amount of talent we haveavailable here has given us the option of doubling up some of the roles over thetwo weekends of the show. The cast has a wonderful mix of experience and afresh influx of good performers. Over the summer we have had an overhaul ofthe younger demographic which can only secure a bright promising future forthe club. I would like to thank you all for coming to this performance of Aladdinand supporting the club. Audience participation is always welcome inpantomime so raise the roof and enjoy the atmosphere.
