Presidents Report
Premier League - Captains Report
Hi everyone hope you all have a top night at preso!
Well we had an interesting year in Premier League. I can't remember so many wash outs in
1 year of cricket, I think it was 8, could've been 9 weeks missed during season. So trying to
get any form or winning streaks was difficult. But, to the players credit they all put in and
we nearly got into the final 4, finishing 5th on quotient.
During the year we had some great performances:
Round 1 Mark Austin had a great game getting 2 wickets and 37 not out in a good win
against Umina.
Round 2 Shane Higgins smashed 42 in the middle and Tim Boyd got 30 at the end but we
couldn't stop The Entrance from getting the 223 they required to win.
Round 3 we had Wyong up there and Dave Eddy belted 80 with Tim Boyd getting 47 to get
us to 263. Wyong didn’t have a hope - Tim Boyd got 6/44 and Dave Eddy 3/44 both had
outstanding games.
Round 4 Kincumber Dave Eddy had another top game scoring 29no and 28,Tom White 25
but we got dusted outright.
Round 5 - wash out.
Round 6 we played Lisarow at Sohier, all the bowlers were great getting a wicket or 2 and
our fielding was impressive. Mitch Way taking 2/34 and Bruce Leslie 2/and Tim Boyd
2/38. Bruce Leslie with 36, Shane Higgins 35 and Daniel West 33no got us home for a
good chase of 207.
Round 7 against Narara we got done outright but Tim Boyd 5/20, Mark Austin 2/17 and
Mitch Way 2/20, Ricky Ellis got 33 with the bat were good.
We started after Christmas break for 1 week against Toukley and got a win but
unfortunately the 2nd week was washed out. But in week 1 Ricky Ellis got 2/10 and 57
with the bat, Dave Eddy got 3/13 and Mitch Way 2/30.
Now we don't play for 4 weeks and half a one day game against the Mountains leaving us
needing an outright win to get into finals.
Last round against Umina - We bowled first and Tim Boyd took 5/57, Dave Eddy 3/27 and
Tom White 2/10. Jason Hayward got 77 with the bat and Daniel West 48no.
And that was it for another year. A big thanks to Mark Austin who helped out with the
captaincy when I wasn't there a couple of times, and to the guys I hope you had an
enjoyable year and thanks for a great year and putting in each week, hope you come back
next year.
Good luck to 2nd division in their Grand final against Narara. I hope you boys win it.

Division 3 Captains Report
Oh well guys tough year for all of us, but we had some positives with some
young guys having a run in 2nds, and 1sts, good onya boys. It was good to see
some old heads back. Cameron Anderson had a good season opening the
bowling and young Brad Handley (16's) showed he is going to be a force in
years to come. I hope you all come back next season and have a run.
Cheers,
Mick
Division 3 Player Summary
Division 4 Captains Report I first started playing cricket in 1978 for Terrigal/Matcham in the U14S. In all the years
following this is my first time as captain of a cricket team. The responsibility of leading a team
is a very challenging experience. Setting fields for different batsmen, choosing the right
bowler for different situations etc. By the end of the season I was starting to get an idea of what
to do. I would like to thank Richard Evans for his help and experience over the season.
Richard’s dry humour also kept the team laughing.
We had 6 different wicket keepers over the season. Most had never kept before. So thanks to
Aaron, Scott, Adam, Mark, Tim and Tom. It’s not an easy job. We also had some sixth grade
players join our team being Kyle Barnes, Adam Mcleod, Scott Frappel, Lyle Besley and Scott
Markham. The two Scott’s got runs in the Doyalson game and were promoted to 3rd grade.
Our top order batsmen were Ravi Sharma, Lyle Besley and Tim Whiley. Over the season they
were the backbone of the batting. Lyle Besley and Mitchell Cunningham opened the
bowling. Mitchell could only bowl 6 over's at a time and always picked up wickets. Mitch
was well supported by his parents who turned up every game. Wayne and Kylie were great
supporters of the team, even filming Mitch bowling. So we have proof of all the lbws he didn't
get as well.
The team was a mix of older and younger players. The younger guys were great. I liked their
attitude and they turned up to training every week. Mitch, Michael, Mark, Kieren and the two
Steves were an asset to the team. Unfortunately Michael Ryan broke his hand half way through
the season. His last innings was outstanding, but that ended up being his last game. We had two
father and sons on the team. Stuart and Mark Horgan, and Colin and Kieren Handley. Stuart did
whatever was asked of him and was always encouraging. Mark was great at mid wicket with
his fielding and catching. Colin and Kieran are good all rounders and I wish they could have
played more games.
Ian Foster and Bobby Hook did some spin bowling for us. Ian played 3rd grade as well. In the
Wyong game. Bob saved us from outright by batting for nearly 70 over's and bowled 11 over’s
as well. That was a great example to the other guys.
Also Tim Whiley was playing his first season of grade cricket. The way he played was like he
had played for years. He is very popular amongst the players. Also Tim batted well against the
new ball and he will only get better. Kyle Macgregor also played well. As the season
progressed he just got better and better.
Some great performances over the season were Zane Smiths 6 over's 6 maidens 2 wickets for 0,
Ravi Sharma's 58 against Gosford and 63 against The Mountains, Scott Frappell’s 92,Scott
Markham’s 56 not out against Doyalson. Kieran Handley’s 4 for 73 against Narara and in the
last game against Gosford Colin Handleys 53 and Mitchell Cunningham's 6 for 40.
The big highlight for me was our first win. 2nd grade won their first game as well and both
teams went into the shed to sing the club song. Singing the club song after a win is great and
hopefully next season we can do it more often. Thanks to all who played for the 4th grade side
this year it was a privilege to lead this team I'm looking forward to next season.
Betsy.
Division 4 Player Summary
Suburban ODLO Grade 1 Captains Report The 2011/12 season proved to be quite an initiation for most of our squad into the shorter &
faster form of the ODLO game.
Many in the side had previously been used to the 2 week format where the aim was to build
an innings - for many other players who were new to the team and to cricket in the 21st
century, it was the first time back playing cricket since the use of dry bamboo cane stalks
strapped together with cow leather lashings for protection around the shins.
Anyway, filled with excitement at the prospect of another club premiership, putting the
team together started with a conversation over a few beers after a game of golf at the
Everglades - it became somewhat of a revival of some older WWCC members where we
thought we would enter a 2nd division side, but with the usual pre-season confusion &
stuff-ups then with some miss-communication about player transition rules, 2nd division
wasn't to be.
So, starters were for our ODLO 1st division side were Keith Metcalfe, Frank Serra, Mark
Simpson, Mark Ford, Kev Dewar, Jim Martin, Mark Nomchong, Mark Bladon, John
Taylor, Dave Ford with an average age somewhere around about 50 years together with
new boy, that’s actually another old boy Craig Ruth and a couple of young fellas Steve
Martin & Brad Deitz. Later in the season Bubba White, Ross Hopkins and Matt McAuliffe
services were needed as the attrition rate with injuries was higher than expected.
It was a massive learning curve to establish were par for the day off 40 overs was. While
we lost the first 2 games of the season, the team gathered some form and momentum, when
we established that we had to make sure we achieved 170'ish - that became the weekly
goal.
We won the next 4 straight to move straight into 2nd spot on the ladder. While not
everyone in the side scored big runs, we managed to find that we were fortunate to have
one of our batters hang in there. Frank, Brad, Fordy or Nommie all stared, while Kev & JT
also made good runs and later in the season Keith Metcalfe, Simmo and Craig Ruth also
managed valuable contributions. Our opening bowlers week in & out, Steve Martin &
Nommie, although were often not credited with a bunch of wickets they did a great job to
set up many of the matches we won. While Jim Martin & JT managed around 48 wickets
for the season between them, their tight bowling restricted the opposition scoring. Simmo
& Fordy shared the glove-man duties to great effect.
Then just before Christmas the 2 x T20's in the one day commenced - well for the old
fellas this was a tough gig, to find that cooling down after the first game then jumping in
the car to travel, say from Doyleson to Wyong, for the next round, then to try and re-
ignite enthusiasm proved to difficult against sides with more flexibility & youth in their
favour.
Then with the re-commencement of the 40;40 over’s version in late January, we again
gathered momentum and without loss we were back on track for the semi's position except
to find the association comp’ committee re-jigged the point scores for the T20’s, to 4 points
each .... aghrr …. what the ?
Well, my feeling towards the T20’s – that for another discussion !!!
Anyway, looking back, we defeated every team in the 40:40 program except the 2 ladder
leaders with whom we also had some really close encounters, but with 2 & 5 in the
T20's, and with the re-allocation of a full 4 points to each T20 event ...... let’s say, we were
not quite up to the challenge.
So ... no chocolates, no semi's, …… but still, from all reports and positive feedback, it was
a great season that everyone seemed to enjoy - no doubt, we'll back up again.
Again, for what it’s worth ... I also thoroughly enjoy the season in the company of a great
bunch of blokes.
Week in, week out we all went out with huge enthusiasm as a motivated unit..... there were
so many highlights and I think almost every player at some stage contributed with a match
winning effort and performance during the season.
I know at this point looking back, we can walk away from 2011/12 with many positives and
our heads held high that we were courageous, tried hard, played fair, and in good spirit ....
& for the fella's who haven't played for quite some years ..... Keith, Ross, Bubba & Frank
.... specially well done boys - Don’t throw those pads and bat away just yet !
Who knows, maybe next year .... we’ll have another shot at the title.
Thanks to our substitute players who filled in during the season incl' Scott Manuelle, Dave
Manuelle & Dave Stitt.
Our best wishes go to Dave Ford who started with us but took a posting in the country with
the wollopers at Grafton Police Station just before Christmas - good luck mate.
On checking the book, some season highlights, by round were ;-
round 1 - comprehensive flogging by The Entrance at home ( undefeated for 3
years)
round 2 lost against Kincumber - narrow defeat but great sign we could be
competitive in this league.
round 3 won against Narara - Frank Serra 72 off 38 overs to carry the bat
undefeated, Nommie 65 & Brad Deitz entering the team & covering a lot of ground
to take 3 tough catches, but almost to be undone by Blado's 26 off 1 over, incl 2 lost
balls in the nursing home. Steve Martin got early wickets while Craig Ruth polished
off the tail with 4 overs 4/14
round 4 won against Wyong - Brad Deitz ton - 116 not out & Jim Martin 5/35 off
6 overs - JT got 34 with the bat & 4/34 bowling – a much better fielding & bowling
effort.
round 5 won against Terrigal - Nommie got 41 - Dave Fords 3/14 wickets off great
swing bowling demolished their batting attack & JT 3/8 to removed the tail
round 6 won against Narara - Nommie 65 with the bat and 27 from Simmo & Brad
for some consistent batting & Steve Martin got a few wickets and Dave Stitt got
3/12 in a cameo bowling appearance
round 7 & 8 -2 x T20's at Adcock park - prefer not to talk about them
round 9 v's Toukley - a costly wash out against the cellar dwellers
round 10 v's The Entrance dismissed them for 105, bowling shared but Bubba had
an outstanding effort 3/35, Brad hit 34 and with Jim Martin in a final wicket effort
to come so close to beating the minor premiers - it was one of those games that got
away - no doubt the hat-trick against us was the undoing.
round 11 against Kincumber Mark Ford scored 35 and Kev Dewar got 26 – we lost
by 6 wickets
round 12 & 13 2 x T20's at Doyleson & Wyong - prefer not to discuss
round 14 & 15 - T20's at Terrigal and Kincumber - lost to Terrigal but Kev got a
good 55 & Bubba White got 3/36 & Steve Martin 2/25 – in round 15 led by Mark
Ford, this broke our run of losses in the T20’s to win against Lisarow - with
Nommie starring with the bat coming in at No 6 to hit 75 NO off a hand full of
overs _ Keith got a solid 4 in the same time.
round 16 against Toukley - Nommie hit 87 NO, Brad Deitz 44 - Ross Hopkins got
2/29
round 17 against Lisarow -, Stevie Martin best bowling for the season as opener got
3/4 off 8 overs & Nommies hit 75 not out, Fordy got 46 NO
round 18 - against Wyong – another annoying wash out
round 19 against Terrigal - wash out after Terrigal scored 200 - another game that
got away.
round 20 against Narara - Fordy hit 35, Brad Deitz 31 - bowling Jim got 4/15 but
Dave Manuelle pulled off a few amazing catches at deep mid on, in the out-field to
break the hearts of the opposition.
round 21 against Toukley - Nommies hit 123 runs incl' 10 sixes not out, Brad hit 25
& Nommie bowled 3/36, Jim 2/39, JT 3/44 - Steve Martin got one but also captured
a big wicket with a sharp run-out.
Our congratulations go to our 2nd
grade who are in the semi’s and also the ODLO 2nd
division teams.
Thank you Donna Jewiss for all your assistance during the season – this club couldn’t exist
in 11/12 without all your hard work and Passion. Also thank you to the club executive, I
know it’s a tough job – you have all executed it well.
Best regards for now
Jim Martin
Suburban ODLO Grade 1 Player Summary
Suburban ODLO Grade 2 Captains Report
Hi All,
Firstly I would like to thank all the guys who played in our team this year. Not
only were we in contention in every game we played, but we also did it in
good spirit whilst also having fun. To think that most of our squad were only
in their second year of cricket, mixed with a few experienced veterans we only
lost 4 games all year, unfortunately for us one of them was the Grand Final.
Whilst obviously disappointed, we should all be proud of what we achieved
this year.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank our team’s sponsors who
amongst other things helped us to at least look like proper cricketers, when
fitted out with full brim hats & team shirts. They were as follows: GO
Electrical Wholesalers, Woy Woy Sporties, PNB Electrical, Peninsula Pool
Care & last but definitely not least Steve’s Wheel Alignment. All the guys
really appreciate your support.
I would also like to thank Woy Woy Cricket Club for all of their support. I
know we do not fulfil our duties as clubmen as most other players/teams do
but we do appreciate that you let us be, so we can play & enjoy our cricket.
Special thanks must go to Donna Jewiss. Her support & guidance throughout
the year, especially as I had no idea how to run a cricket side is greatly
appreciated. Donna, I cannot thank you enough!!!
Now onto the cricket side of things. The year started off a bit scratchy with
washouts, forfeits & byes but by Round 4 we finally got a game & got the
season off to a flyer with an 8 wicket victory. That set the tone for the next
few games until we dropped a couple of games mid-season. From there we
only lost one more game all season going into the Grand Final. The highlights
for me were Shane Ward’s early season form with the bat, Sean Mason’s 80 &
71 during the season along with the team’s top score in the Grand Final of 62.
With the ball I can’t go past Merv’s 7/22 against our Grand final opponents,
when we got them out for 68 when we were only defending 99.
In summary it was a great year on & off the field & look forward to doing it
all again next year.
Clint Portass.
Suburban ODLO Grade 2 Player Summary
Suburban ODLO Grade 3 Captains Report Started off the season with a washout. Points on the board. Bonus.
Finished off the season with a solid win. Points on the board. Bonus.
The team was made up of a core of 16 players, all of whom put in their best efforts at
sometime during the season. It reminds me of being back at school, “a good effort”, “a
solid performance”, “has potential”.
The bowling department we headed by Matt Bull 12wkts & Chris Lee 10wkts, both who
put in super efforts and came away with some good results. They were ably supported by
Daniel Beck 12wkts and Lachlan McDonald 9wkts who both continued to improve
throughout the season and both achieved good results. Terry Sainty 2wkts and Keiran
Hughes 6wkts proved that age was no barrier for the slow bowlers with both getting into
the wickets. Also grabbing the ball and showing how its done were Gaven McDougall
7wkts, Daniel Tierney 5wkts, Mark Channon 3wkts, Rod Cooper 2wkts, Russell Downey
& Wayne Anderson 1wkt & Mark Levitt.
James Sainty 14 wkts, assisted late in the season causing concern for the bowling award. A
great demonstration of swing bowling.
Last but not least Brett “Howie” Howe came on for a cameo performance and retired with
figures of 1 for 2.
Batting….. potential, potential, potential. On paper, we had about 14 players capable of
scoring 50’s. In practice we had 2. Congratulations to Mark Channon 53 & Chris Lee 60no.
More on a positive note, we had a few PB’s. Keiran Hughes 36, Mark Channon 53, Lachlan
McDonald 11 & Mark Levitt 10.
Fielding. A lot of improvements in the field during the year with catches by Daniel Beck &
Brett Howe 6, Matt Bull 5, Mark Channon 4, Chris Lee, Stuart Simpson & Wayne
Anderson 3, Terry Sainty, Lachlan McDonald, Daniel Tierney, James Sainty & Keiran
Hughes. 3 stumpings to Stuart and a run-out to Brett Howe.
A can’t forget the Cameo appearances during the season, Craig Ruth, bowled wicketless,
fielded and didn’t get a bat; Col Handley, bowling 16-0-2-72, batting 62, 57 & 15, and 1
catch in the field; Grant Smith, bowling 3-1-3-6, batting 13, and 1 disallowed runout.
Best Cameo appearance comes from Bob Druitt. Bob turned up for two T20 matches after a
7 year layoff. Game 1. Fielded, taking a great catch in the out field, did not bowl. Was next
man in at 2nd
drop when the game was called to a close. Game 2. Fielded, dropped a great
catch in the outfield splitting the webbing between fingers 1 & 2, did not bowl. Was next
man in at last drop when game was called to a close. Fielding for 30 overs, watching for 50
overs, 1 catch, 3 stitches. Cost: $50. Experience: priceless.
We ended the season with 21 games 4 wins 4 draws and 13 losses. Ended up in equal 5th
position, just missing out on the semi’s. Not the season that we had all intended to have, but
we all enjoyed the year. All games were played with the spirit of the cricket in mind.
Towards 2012/13.
Thank you to Jack Channon, Ryan Avery & Sean Downey who helped us out when were
short.
Last but not least, congratulations to Rod Cooper on his return to 3rd
Grade.
Thanks,
Stuart.

Junior Presidents Report
U16B Team Report
Well another year rapped up with an outstanding performance from all the boys.
Congratulations on winning the minor premiership this year and hopefully the grand
final as well. It has been a pleasure coaching the boys for the last 5 years.
Our journey began from the under 11’s, bowling more ‘no balls’ than dot balls and
our batting missing more balls than scored runs, until now in the 16’s when we
bowl more maidens than runs against their name and hit more runs than dots.
I’d like to thank the three under 16’s from last year Brad, Sam and James for
becoming members of our side this year. Individually you all brought knowledge
and expertise to the team encouraging the rest of the players to work harder .I wish
you all the very best in your senior years with the Woy Woy Cricket Club..
To Russ and Bully thank you for being a great support over the years in assisting
with coaching. To Mark and Bob thank you for all your efforts week in and week
out for scoring, you guys have been valued members of our team. Tina thanks for
the fruit salad and in keeping the boy’s well feed. To all the parents thank you for
your support and dedication in helping make this great team ‘such a success.

U14B Team Report
Well what a season it has been with many up and downs the weather this
summer has been terrible and almost cost the 14s a spot in the semis. We had
to win our last two games and needed some other results to go our way which
thankfully did. So we ended up finishing 3RD
on the ladder which had us
playing the second placed team Lisarow in the semi final who were
undefeated throughout the season.
This match took place at Tunkawllan oval Gwandalan, the ground looked like
it had not been mowed in 6 months and it was also was very wet under foot so
not the best condition for cricket, but as usual we went on with our business
and lost another toss. I think Blake our captain maybe won one toss all year,
good job mate.
We batted first and notched up 102 runs, which was a pretty good score
considering the condition. We had a break for lunch then it was our turn to
take the field the boys were fired up and ready to rip in, and in an amazing
performance our opening bowlers Jack Wilson and Aaron Hockings tore them
apart Aaron taking 5 for 3 off 5 overs and Jack taking 4 for 3 off 5 overs
leaving our first change bowlers 1 wicket to bag which Jack Stead took in the
11th
over.
The realisation kicked in we had rolled Lisarow in 10.3 overs for 7 runs, it
was a fantastic effort from all the boys with some great reflex catching from
Liam Mercer at short mid wicket bagging 3 catchers and Blake White doing a
great job keeping to two fired up bowlers, and Kyle Burley chipping in with
the bat.
So on to the grand final against our arch rivals ‘The Entrance’ at Don Small
oval at Tacoma. Saturday was rained out so the game was moved to the
Sunday. The toss was done again and we actually won it for a change and
elected to bat. We crashed to be all out for 76, at one stage it looked like we
would be all out for around 40 then Jack Steed took to the crease and in a
patient innings notched up a handy 25 runs. With plenty of fire in the belly the
boys took to the field and once again played out of their skins rolling ‘The
Entrance’ for 60. It was an absolute great team performance, The fielding was
awesome and the bowling was tight once again.
I would also like to thank all the kids parents for their support, and a special
mention to Paul Hockings for helping out with training and game day.
Cheers,
Rod

U13A Team Report
The 2011/2012 season was a tough one for the boys. Against some tough
competition the boys put in some really great efforts and did the club proud.
The side was made up of a mix of players who had played for a few
years and a few who were playing their first season, not that you would
notice, these boys fitted in really well and all already had solid techniques.
The boys and myself would like to thank Paul and Matt for their efforts
organising the side and Umpiring each weekend. Also to Chris for all her hard
work getting everyone organised and the parents who helped score or fill in
for Paul or Matt.
We were lucky enough to have some extra helpers from the seniors at
training this season. Id like to thank Dave Eddy, Dave Hook, Lachy Hook,
Jase Hayward and Matt Sav from 1st and 2
nd Grade who were all regular
helpers down at training. It was great to see them take an interest in the Junior
side of the club.
The following is a little run down on each of the boys who played this
year.
Ryan Bull: A great bloke to have around, Ryan's batting and bowling was
always pretty solid, he also had a crack at keeping on a couple occasions and
picked it up really well.
Bailey Coombes: Bailey is a natural athlete , his bowling when on track is
quite sharp. With the bat Bailey proved a handful for the bowlers on a few
occasions and he can probably hit a ball further than me!
Matt Fitzsimmons: Fitzy was our Captain this season. He is top young bloke,
many of the 1st and 2
nd Grade boys who helped out all mentioned how
impressed they were with Fitzy. Matt probably didnt get quite as many runs as
he would have liked, but I know he will come back with a bumper season next
year.
Jonathan Fullwood: One of our Rep players, Johnno hits the ball hard and
bowls the balls fast. If he keeps working away at it Johnno will be quite the
force in both Junior and Senior cricket.
Rhys Grech: Rhys is one of the easiest blokes to have around down at
training. Nothing is ever a problem for him. Rhy's bowling highlight was his 2
for 20. As he bowls fairly straight and a solid length , he was really unlucky
not to get a few more!
Lachy Jones: With the ball, when he found his rhythm Lachy was the fastest
bowler in the team. On a few occasions he had the batters jumping around. If
he wants to stick at it , im sure he would become a really good fast bowler.
Jordan Murphy: A bit of star with Bat and Ball, Jordan also had a crack at
keeping once or twice and nailed that too! Jordan's big score against
Mountains was one of the highlights of the season.
Ryland Murphy: Ryland was playing his first season of cricket. His
enthusiasm was infectious and his fielding was second to none. As a spin
bowler Ryland was difficult to face, with best bowling of 2-14 , I know he'll
be even better again next season.
Mitch Richardson: Mitch is a really talented allrounder who I could see as
the type of bloke that could both bat and bowl in the top 3. He looked solid
with the bat and when he got his line right bowling was really dangerous. His
best bowling figures were 3 for 6!
Matt Tancred: In his first season Matt really impressed me. His batting
improved all year in the nets and as a bowler he was already solid in the first
session. Towards the end of the season, Matt got qucker and quicker. Next
year could be a big season for Matt.
Pat Thompson: Pat was the teams Keeper/Batter/Spinner. Pat was a real jack
of all trades. Probably unlucky with his scores this year Pat, especially after
season how hard and how well he hit the ball at training. Usually a keeper, Pat
also became quite a star with his spinners which would turn a fair distance.
Brad Wood: Another one of the teams newcomers, Brad had a solid first year.
The stats don't at all reflect on Brads ability and natural talent. In the coming
years I see Brad as a middle order batter and a New ball bowler. As a bowler
how much he swings the ball is quite amazing for a young bloke!
To anyone I have forgotten to thank, I am really really sorry!!
To all the boys, we look forward to seeing you back next season. Keep at it
fella's!!

A wonderful season of cricket the boys had. They played well as a team the whole year and
backed each other no matter what.
We made it all the way to the grand final but unfortunately could quite get there in the end.
The boys did us all very proud and we hope to see them all back next year.
We had two new boys join us this year and they both fit in really well.
Luke’s bowling and batting improved through out the year. And his Fielding also improved
with a bit more confidence he will make a great cricketer.
Liam was outstanding in the field with some cracker catches and he was great with the bat
running between wickets.
Mitch’s pace bowling really got to his opponent’s, fielding and batting was outstanding.
Great all rounder
Brea has really improved with his bowling this year. Great in the field getting lot’s of great
catches and saving boundaries.
Rory really found his style with the bat this year and his bowling caused the opposition alot
of worry.
Owen is a great wicket taker behind the stumps and with the ball. Always puts in
110%.Great team player
Ethan’s bowling always got the opposition worried, Hard working in the field and with the
bat.
Lachie Bayliss was a great captain. Always thinking of what to do next.
Great with the bat and wicket keeping.
Dan loves to dart around the field stopping all the singles and getting catches always tried
hard with the bat
Dan C always puts in 100% in the field with some great catches, great at finding the
boundary with the bat.
Lachie Barne’s really improved this year with the bat putting some runs on the board.
Always tried hard in the field.
Would like to thank Grunter for umpiring every week and to all the parent’s that came
every week to help out and support the kids.
What a great year hope to see you all next year.

U10 Gold Team Report
The Under 10 Gold team comprised of 9 boys aged between 7 and 10 years of
age and also comprised of a range of abilities with this being the first year of
cricket for the majority of the boys.
The boys did however all come with a lot of enthusiasm and eagerness to
learn.
We experienced some wins but also a few losses to some very good teams,
however we did manage to grow from these losses and improve our scores
against these teams the second time round which was really encouraging to
see.
During the season our boys attended the Woy Woy Cricket Club junior
development day at Austin Butler where they received some great coaching
and tips to improve their game. A great day was had by the boys and we
would like to thank the Club and its volunteers for their time.
We would also like to thank our parents who assisted with scoring and
umpiring and our tireless manager, Belinda Healey for entering the stats into
the My Cricket website each week.
Although this was the first season together for this team the camaraderie that
was present was like a team that had been together for years.
It was an absolute pleasure to coach these boys and the reward for us as
coaches was to watch their development as players while having fun.
Well done Under 10 Gold!

U10 Blue Team Report
The under 10 Blues season 2011/2012 started with a team of newcomers of all different ages and experience. With a side of 10 fabulous boys we worked together and formed a real close bond. They learnt the basics and watched each other develop their skills week after week. All were chuffed no matter who scored the runs, who caught the run out or who bowled that winning ball. Just playing was great FUN! Thanks you, to the boys for their team spirit, their fairness and encouragement to each other.

Thank you Gayle and Russell Downey for scoring each week and Stewart for dedication and patience in training the boys. Also a big thank you to all the parents, not just for driving the boys to training and the games, but sticking around week after week training after training to assist, practice. encourage and cheer on each of the boys and make everyone of them feel really special. I heard it said “ Parents don't just raise kids communities do also” how true!
Thanks again Woy Woy Cricket club for a great year.
