Science We’ve been looking at plants in Science. Last week’s task was to learn the different parts of a plant. This week, we’re going to be looking at what a plant needs to be able to grow properly. Watch the video at: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_RXVhiUnTA8 Task: Create a poster to show what plants need in order to survive.

Humanities Our topic is ‘The Great fire of London’ and you’ve done lots of different history and geography activities linked to it. History task: Create a newspaper report about the fire. There is an example on the next page that you could print off and complete or you could make up your own newspaper report entirely. You could draw a picture too. Geography task: What can you find out about St Paul’s Cathedral? When was it built? Who designed it? What happened to it in the fire? Which famous events have taken place there? You could make a fact file about the Cathedral or just discuss the facts with people at home. Extension task: Listen to the story of Paddington Bear as he visits St Paul’s Cathedral at: https://www.facebook.com/PaddingtonBear/videos/storytime-paddington-at-st-pauls/349599198929422/

Art/DT

Last week, you looked at landmarks in London. The landmarks are going to form the art task for this week and you can choose what you’d like to do: 1. Choose one landmark and draw a picture of it. You can

colour it in or paint it if you’d like to.

2. Recreate a landmark. Can you use any materials from around your house to create your own version of one of these landmarks? There are some ideas on the next page.
