When adding an ending to a word that ends in ‘y’, change the ‘y’ to ‘i’:

How do I make words ending in ‘y’ into plurals (to show there’s more than one)

ADDING ‘S’ TO WORDS ENDING IN ‘Y’(making plurals)
1. If a vowel (a,e,i,o,u) comes before the ‘y’, just add an ‘s’
– Boy…………………boys– Monkey…………….monkeys
2. If a consonant comes before the ‘y’, change to ‘ies’
– Poppy………………poppies– Baby………………..babies– Try…………………..tries
