P A L M A R S H I have included
English and Maths
learning for each
day of the week
see below.
Using different coloured
paper/card/beads or
sequins, have a go at
creating your own mosaic.
Wednesday 24th June
is National Writing
day – write anything,
about anything you
like and send it in.
This could be a story,
a comic, a persuasive
piece or writing –
anything. What you
write is up to you, as
long as you enjoy it!
This week is going to
be hot – create your
own ice lolly using
water, juice if you
want and fruit.
Have some fun in the
sun (once your
suncream is on!) by
cooling down with a
water fight – make
sure the other
person agrees first!
Send in a personal
video message for
the children who are
in school.
Offer to cook, or to
help cook dinner this
week. If your feeling
extra helpful, you
could even help with
the washing up too!
Thunk: If you set out
to fail and succeed in
failing, did you
succeed or fail?!

Have a go at creating
your own sundial.
Choose a stick and
place it upright in the
ground somewhere
where it can sit for a
while without getting
in the way (or a tall
object). Once the
time hits the hour,
place a stone, make a
mark, chalk a number
or otherwise note
the position of the
stick’s shadow at
that time.
It’s up to you how
often you want to
mark; every hour is
usual but we have
seen sundials marked
out in 15-minute
blocks with
Create an exercise
circuit at home or in
your back garden of
four activities. This
could include star
jumps, stepping up
and down on a step,
skipping, keepy
uppies – which ever
activities take your
fancy. Time how many
you can do in a
minute. Then repeat
and see if you can
improve. This activity
will be repeated over
the next few weeks
where you can see
what your personal
best is.
Create a gratitude
jar, where you write
notes about what,
since lockdown, you
are grateful for and
appreciate.
