Task 3 – creative writing example

Patiently, I stood waiting for my ticket out of here to arrive. In the air was a sense of optimism and adventure that excited me beyond ones imagination, in particular, the thought of pastures new gave me an adrenaline rush that I had not experienced in years. Nevertheless, there was a cloud that gloomed over this particular chapter in my life… Stood by the bus stop, where time began to move backwards, as I became more and more agitated by the second, I continued to check the timetable that clearly stated the bus would arrive at 2pm (hoping that this would in some way speed up the process) but despite it being 1 hour late, there was sign. Nothing.

Usually patient, it was sadly about to expire due to the incessant staring that I could feel with every car that drove by. I did not understand. What so unusual? Had I dropped something? Feeling rather self-conscious about my appearance, I decided to turn my back on the road, however, I quite enjoyed the opportunity to watch life as it passed me by. With nothing to occupy my restless thoughts, I found myself being consumed by yesterdays actions that lead me to where I am today. Slowly the tears began to surface…
