Chapel Money Term 4
This term each class has set a goal that they would like to achieve in order to assist Australian Lutheran World Service. Our class calculated that if each person bought 50c a week for the remainder of the term we should be able to raise $96. Student have been encouraged to do small service jobs around the home in order to earn their money. So far we have
raised approximately $35.
Swimming
Students are looking forward to swimming lessons. These will take place in weeks 7 and 8. Students will change at school before and after swimming and therefore are required to come to school in
their uniforms.
Please make sure that:
Medical forms are returned as soon as possible or there
will be no swimming!
All clothing and personal
items are clearly labeled.
Students have a rashy or t- shirt that can be worn in
order to be sun smart

This term students have been investigating the forces that affect our everyday lives! Friction, gravity and magnetics are frequently used to assist us each day to undertake simple every day activities. What would life be like if these forces were not in play? How would we drive our
cars, play sport or even stand up?
Unit of Inquiry
This term the Year 4/5 students are sharing their expertise and knowledge to assist the Year 2/3’s develop their coding skills. We began by undertaking an experiment that demonstrated how clear and important our instructions need to be in order to make our programs work effectively. Students have begun their ICT coding experience by undertaking scaffolded coding tasks using the app lightbot to practise
and develop basic skills.
