When I arrived at the office at 9am, I sat down at my desk and checked my emails. I had 16 new emails from customers who wanted me to help them plan their travel. At 10.15am I had my first customers for the day, Sara and Raziq. They wanted me to help them plan their trip to Dubai. I booked tickets and a hotel for them. I had lunch at 12pm and replied to some of my emails. I had plenty of them!After lunch, I had a phone call from Mr Brown. He wanted to fly to Singapore. We talked about all of the fun things to do in Singapore. I left the office at 4.30pm and went home feeling like I needed a holiday!

Day 2My name is Haiqal. I am a tour guide. This is what I did yesterday. Tuesday 3rd September 2013

At 7am I met a group of Japanese tourists at their hotel. They wanted to go on a sightseeing tour of Bandar Seri Begawan. The tourists got on the bus at 7.30am and I told them where we would be going. I used the microphone so that they could all hear me. We arrived at the Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddien Mosque 8am. This was our first stop in the tour. After that, we drove past the Istana Nurul Iman. I told the tourists about the Istana. They were very interested and asked me many questions. We then visited Kampong Ayer and had a short boat ride around the stilt houses. We finally returned to the hotel at 11.30am and I said goodbye to the tourists. I went home and had some lunch.

Day 3My name is Sara. I am a hotel desk clerk. This is what I did yesterday. Wednesday 4th September 2013

When I arrived at the hotel at 10am, there were some guests ready to check out. I collected their room keys, checked their rooms, and took their payment. After that, it was quiet so I checked the room bookings for the night. The hotel was fully booked. It wasn’t quiet for long! I spent the rest of the afternoon checking in guests. Most of them were exhausted from travelling and wanted to rest. At 6.45pm one of the guests complained that their room was not clean and tidy. I called housekeeping and asked them to clean the room. I gave the guest a free drink voucher and apologised to them. I finally went home at 10pm exhausted from a busy day. My feet were extremely sore!

Day 4My name is Suzanna. I am a flight attendant. This is what I did yesterday.Thursday 5th September 2013

I arrived at the airport at 5am and went through the passport check. After that, I greeted the passengers as they boarded the plane and helped them find their seats. At 6.15am the plane departed from Brunei. I served breakfast at 7am. At 8am I made sure all the passengers were seated for landing. One passenger, a woman, would not sit down. I explained that she had to sit down and put her seatbelt on for her own safety. She finally sat down! The plane arrived in Singapore at 8.30am. I said goodbye to the passengers and then tidied the plane.
