A meeting oi the Executive Committee of the Board of Regents was held in the President's office on Tuesday, July 13, 1920, at three o'clock.

Present: Regent Butler, chairman; Regents Coff- man, Partridge, Snyd<er, Sommers and Williams, M. M.

Voted to appoint 0. M. Leland as Dean oi the College oi Engineering and Architecture and the School oi Chemistry a t an annual salary oi $8,000, be- ginning August I, 1920, class A appointment.

Voted that the President oi the University conier with Proiessor Everett Fraser in regard to accepting the position as Dean oi the Law School.

Voted that E. B. Pierce be appointed Field Secre- tary of the University a t an annual salary oi $4,000 beginning July I, 1920, class A appointment.

Voted that Rodney M. West be appointed Regis- trar oi the University a t an annual salary oi $3,600, beginning July I, 1920, class A appointment.

A report oi the work by the Survey Commission was made by President Coffman.

Voted to grant Proiessor S. C. Shipley a leave oi absence for one year without pay beginning with the academic year 1920-21, without prejudice as to the consideration of his case in the supplementary budget.

Voted that President Coffman attend the inaugu- ration of President M. L. Burton at the University of Michigan on October 14 and 15, 1920, as a representa- tive oi the University. Expenses oi $75 to be paid by the University.
