D ear Friends, fellow Cattlemen and Valued Customers, Welcome to our 37th annual Bred Cow and Heifer Sale. Our family sends greetings from the beautiful mountains of Southern Utah. It is the most exciting and rewarding time in history to be in the cattle business. We thought calves were high last year, but this year it is amazing that these light calves are bringing $3.50 lb. One word of advice from an old cowboy … with the extra money you are getting this year “pay off your debts”. We look forward to seeing you and hearing from you. The renewed prosperity in agriculture is the most promising part of our economy and is opening opportunity for all our younger generations to be involved in the industry we love and are so passionate about. We have something for everyone in this sale and our quality is as good as you will find anyplace in America. Our cattle have worked for thousands of others and they will work for you. Last year we had buy-ers from 19 states and Canada. From Pennsylvania and Michigan to California and Texas to Canada. These cattle are backed by many generations of highly productive cow families THAT HAVE STOOD THE TEST OF TIME. Our objective is the production of cattle that have a lasting economic significance and make a profit for our customers. THESE ARE NOT ORDINARY CATTLE. IF YOU WANT THE BEST WE HAVE THEM IN VOLUME . I am 81 years old and have spent my life breeding and selecting these cattle for PERFORMANCE, MATERNAL TRAITS AND EYE APPEALING LOOKS that you always enjoy seeing and they will top the market. Forty seven years of AIing and using the best bulls we can find, has produced one of Amer-icas greatest cow herds. It is the mother cow that is the most important part of any operation. NO MACHINE CAN BEGIN TO COMPETE IN EFFICIENCY OR THE COST OF OPERATION WITH A GRAZING COW. Our cows are run on a grass and forage based operation the year around. Easy fleshing is a function of body type and not an EPD or any other number. Our cows are deep bodied, thick, square butted, easy fleshing, heavy muscled, gentle, maintain maternal strength, fertility and structural soundness. The true value of a beef cow is her ability to convert grass and forage into protein. These traits can best be analyzed by visual appraisal from the eyes of a stockman and assessed along with performance data. We analyze EPD’s but the main selection tool I have always used is individual performance: birth weights, weaning weights, and yearling weights plus eye appealing confirma-tion and good looks. This is a FAMILY OPERATION and I am very grateful for the love, hard work, help and interest of my wonderful wife and family. A good family is the greatest blessing anyone can have in life and we believe strongly that families can be eternal and forever with God in Heaven. This has been a very eventful
year for our family. We had two daughters get married and had a double wed-ding reception at the Barn Meadows Ranch. Emily married Weston Maxfield from Lyman, Wyoming and they are living there now. They are a cattle ranch-ing family. Angela married Steve Barton from Cedar City, Utah and they are living there now. Steve graduated from Southern Utah University and plans to go into banking. Angela has been driving home this fall and helping us get ready for this sale, and Emily has come home several times to take cattle pictures for our sale. We are very grateful for the hard work and dedication of our wonderful men, Josue Garcia and Jose Guzman. They know how to do things right and the day never gets too long for them. WE LOVE AMERICA and feel very blessed to live in this great land. The standard of living we have been able to enjoy is the best the world has ever seen. We pray every day that we’ll get a conservative Congress elected this fall that can turn this country around and save it before it is too late. We’d like to extend our gratitude to all of our past customers and friends. We really ap-preciate your business and friendship. We appreciate your confidence in our cattle, our program and our family. We look forward to seeing you sale day and talking with you on the phone. GOD BLESS YOU and GOD BLESS AMERICA.Sincerely yours for a better cattle business.

InformationtermS & CoNditioNSTERMS: No cattle will leave sale yards until full settlement has been made immediately af-ter the sale. Payment terms are cash or a good check. All “returned” or insufficient checks will be immediately turned over to the District Attor-ney for immediate prosecution. This is a felony and charges will be filed.BIDDING: All animals will sell to the highest bidder. Any disputes or challenges regarding bids will be settled by the auctioneer whose de-cision will be final.RISK: All animals are at the owner’s risk pri-or to their sale and become the property of the buyer as soon as the animal is declared sold by the auctioneer at which time the buyer assumes all risk.ANNOUNCEMENTS: Announcements from the auction block will take precedence over any printed matter.BREEDING DATES: Heifers will start calving February 1st and cows February 20th. Most of the cows will calve in March with some April and a few into May. WE HAVE HIGHLIGHTED THE SIRE TO WHICH THE VETERINARIAN, TO THE BEST OF HIS ABILITY, HAS DETER-MINED THE ANIMAL BRED TO. However, we cannot guarantee they will calve from this mating.HEALTH: Every animal in this sale, to the best of our knowledge, is healthy and eligible for in-terstate shipment. Cows were vaccinated last spring for IBR, P13, BVD, BRSV, Vibrio, 5-way lepto and trichomoniasis. The heifer calves have been fully vaccinated and boostered. All cows that have had calves are vaccinated in January with Scour Guard 4 and 8 Way. They just need a booster and the bred heifers should get two shots, three weeks apart before they
calve. All Cattle have had Dectomax, and given OneShot Ultra 8. Calves have had two shots Bova Shield Gold and OneShot Ultra 8BREEDING GUARANTEE: All females sold under the conditions “safe in calf” have been pregnancy checked by a licensed veterinarian and sell with no further guarantee. No guaran-tee is given that bred females will deliver a live calf. All heifer calves are guaranteed breeders. If the heifer failed to breed, we require a statement from the veterinarian who checked her, stating the problem and that the problem was not due to negligence or improper management, which will void the guarantee. This guarantee may be void if 1) a female is highly obese, has been shown extensively past July 1st and has not steadily been attempted to be bred and 2) if she is flushed at any time in the first year after the date of the sale. These two exemptions do not apply if the female is examined by our vet to have an underdeveloped reproductive tract that would have been present at the time she was sold. Infections or other enlargement do not constitute “undeveloped.” 100% of the purchase price less salvage val-ue on heifer calves will be credited to the next sale. No other expenses occurred in the female will be reimbursed to the buyer. In cases where the animal is subject to hormonal or surgical reproduction techniques or damage caused by foreign bodies after the sale, this contract is null and void. The seller is not responsible for sick-ness not apparent at time of sale. It is useless to breed more than two heat cycles, artificial-ly. If they haven’t settled artificially then, they must be put with a fertile bull for the summer. In no event will the seller be responsible for more than the purchase price, less salvage value.AI CERTIFICATE: The purchase of A.I. certif-
icates is the responsibility of the buyer, as well as, the registration of all calves born after sale day.REGISTRATION CERTIFICATES: Supplied on eligible animals upon request on the sales slip at time of settlement or within 20 days. Leave the name and address to which you would like purchases transferred on your sales slip.CONTRACT: The above Terms and Conditions of this sale shall constitute a contract between buyer and seller and be equally binding on both. Animals that are resold following the sale shall constitute a separate transaction and the rights and obligations of the two parties con-nected there to are not covered by these Terms and Conditions.TRUCKING: All trucking, pricing and trucking fees are the responsibility of the buyer, but we will help you all we can with coordinating loads.LIABILITIES: Although accidents at livestock sales seldom occur, everyone attending this sale does so at their own risk. We try to keep the most accurate records possible and have bull tight fences, but once on a rare occasion, acci-dents of breeding occur that we are not aware of or cannot control. We will do everything we can to determine the correct parentage, but can-not guarantee it. The owners and employees of Yardley Cattle Co. assume no liability, legal or otherwise in the event of an accident, bodi-ly injury, theft, error or omissions in catalogs or parentage verification.Cattle are kept in their own individual breeding groups until the first to mid July. Due to size and layout of the Forest permit it is necessary to mix breeding groups at that time. Only our own personal herd sires are taken on the mountain. Select groups of cattle will stay with one sire all summer long, but on the majority of late calving cows we cannot guarantee sire parentage unless a parentage identification test is ran. IGENITY labs runs this procedure for around $30.

Pictured Cows! There are a lot of cows that are not pictured that are just as beautiful and productive as those pictured. We simply ran out of time!
We take great pride in our “clean up” bulls, we call them our herd bulls. Many of them come from top herds across the Nation or are hand selected from our bull calves each year. We know their lineage for generations, we know how their mothers milk, what their body condition score is, what type of feet and udder quality they have, and we only use the best. Our bulls iN The pasTure are Of equal Or higher qualiTy as ThOse iN The TaNk and we take pride in their genetic merit. Don’t hesitate to buy a female that is pasture bred!
Weaning 2014-some of our most cherished memories have happened in the corrals at Asay Creek. We’ve all grown accustomed to dad behind the scales, poking his head around to look at a “great one.” It is a favorite time of year and one we all try to make sure we are home for.

Yardley Brandy brings “power in the blood” with her Irish Whiskey roots; with all the attributes that have made her grandsire and sire, Cerveza so popular. It’s not just her top side that brings this picture perfect heifer packed with power, eye appeal, style and structural soundness. She moves with the confidence of a winner, she’s good and she knows it. Her dam has been a no-miss momma that produced Fairy Dust Z113 in our ’12 Female sale. She went for $4,000 to showmen Randy and Troy Jones of Harrod, OH. Brandy is sure to be equally impressive. Her grand sire, Cherokee, was as perfect a maine bull as I’ve ever seen and so are his calves

This is one to get excited over! She’s got the look of excellence extending from her smooth shouldered chisel front to her massive hind quarter. She’s got depth and thickness throughout. Her dam is a beautiful Steel Force daughter who produced a $6,500 bull calf as a first calf heifer. He was our top gaining bull in ’13. Long Haul’s offspring are equally impressive with our ’14 high selling $20,000 bull, Overhaul. Beauty Queen is everything her name implies and more. She’s one of the most complete and stylish features in the offering. With a huge hip, big top, excellent side profile, width, and depth throughout in an extremely long body it’s easy to see why she had the highest weaning weight in our offering at 709#! Her sire, Pinnacle, was the lead off bull in the champion pen of three high % Simmental show in Denver. We gave $16,000 for him. From the day we laid eyes on Breezy’s dam in Jones’s sale we knew we had to have her. She is as pretty a Meyer 734 daughter as we have encountered. She is a sound, moderate made powerhouse who has sold several calves for $4,000 to $8,000. Troy knew what he was doing when he crossed this fine female on the top end with Maine sire I-80. The result, Breezy, is nothing short of amazing. She draws on the best of both worlds. She’s got a super cool front end with awesome hair and design of a top end Maine coupled with power, bone, body and substance of an ideal Simmental. Breezy’s got it all and she’s ready to make it work for you.

Black Brilliance is very possibly the best Angus female we have ever raised. I say this fully realizing the magnitude of these words; BUT, WOW, she is that good! She has the hip, hind quarter, width and side profile of an elite individual. Her cow family is no stranger to the spotlight. Yardley Geronimo, Brilliance’s full brother sold for an impressive $9,000 to good friends Brian and Robert Walker after they bought a maternal brother in an earlier sale for $7,500. Their dam has averaged 763# on six calves! Apache’s offspring have left a mark of excellence. Black Brilliance is sure to excel in the show ring and more importantly in the donor pen.

Without fail a couple of E119’s descendants find their way into the feature lots in the Fall and into the leadoff bulls in the Spring. The consistency of this cow family is second to none on the ranch. They have generated more dollar value than any other cow family we own with countless donors and top producers. Case in point Bonnie Girl’s maternal sister, feature Glitzy Girl, sold to Ronnie Smith of Texas for $7,500. Blazing Beauty comes from the heart of the Yardley Herd. Her maternal line traces directly back to E119, one of the most prolific and profitable donor and dam of donors we have raised. Blazing Beauty’s maternal brother, Wah Wah, was our ’13 pick of the herd. Another maternal brother sold in ’12 for $9,500 and her full brother sold in this year’s sale for $6,500 to Chiver’s Ranch of Vernal, UT. Her dam has averaged 712# on five calves. The ability of a cow family to pass on desirable traits to their offspring is the true measure of a cow. Her capability of doing this year after year increases her value both economically and genetically. Birdy’s Blush hails from a cow family packed with maternal traits of structural soundness, udder quality, fleshing ability and longevity. Her maternal grand dam, F44, weaned sixteen calves that averaged 630#. One of her daughters is the mother to our herd sire Chrome. F44’s dam raised fourteen calves that averaged over 650#. Black Licorice first caught our attention as a young calf out on our desert winter range. We knew she was destined for great things from the get go. Her blaze faced dam of impeccable quality and style is one of our favorite daughters of F44, who is also the grand dam of Birdy’s Blush, Lot 12, and our herd sire Yardley Chrome. Black Licorice and Birdy’s Blush share the same sire; the combination of these genetics on Nickels n Dimes works phenomenally; If you like one you’re sure to like the other.

We promise the best and here she is. Based around many of the cornerstone individuals in both our Simmental and Angus lineup. A11’s grand dam is the mother of Zion and is as pretty and prolific of a cow as we own. Her bull calves have averaged nearly $5,000. Furthermore her sire Longhaul produced our $20,000, ’14 high-selling bull, Overhaul, to renowned Wheatland Cattle Co. of Canada. His females are maturing into beautiful heifers, with the promise of being extremely versatile in the show ring and pasture. They possess maternal traits that are crucial to an efficient cow-calf program. AI’d to GCC Whizard, A11 has Donor potential and will produce many other donor-type females for years to come. Check out her dam in the sale, Y55.

Her OCC Legend dam is a beautifully made moderate female with a perfect udder out of a great Goldmine cow. As a first calf heifer her dam raised a $9,500 bull calf that went to Klent Schnell of Nebraska and her maternal brother sold for $6,500 one year prior to that. Generations upon generations of maternal powerhouses and herd favorites are stacked upon one another in A160’s pedigree. Her dam, W121, is a beautifully made, blaze faced Pinion daughter. Her grand dam M24 is one of the prettiest, moderate square made cows we have ever owned. She always stays fat and has weaned ten calves averaging 697#WW, her last two bull calves averaged $4,375. M24 traces back to A84, who was out of L60, one of our foundation black Simmental cows we bought in Denver. “Grass is the forgiveness of nature, her constant bene-diction. It bears no blazonry of bloom to charm the senses with fragrances or splendor, but its homely hue is more enchanting than the lily or the rose.It yields no fruit on earth or air, and yet, should its harvest fail for a single year, famine would depopulate the world.” –John J. The Key to the Puzzle = BalanceIt’s the hardest thing to keep in the front of our minds. We always want to think that bigger is better, or we buy bulls based on spread
EPD’s or we choose a bull because he has one trait that really stands our. We’ve all been guilty of it, but the real key is “bal-ance,” the ones that do all things well. I re-ally believe that this is one of the hardest, if not the hardest, hurdle in breeding cattle. If we can stay focused on this, it will make us more profitable and better cattle breeders.

Y6 in her short lifetime has already had an $8,500 bull calf that nearly topped the pen with his impressive 1,345# YW. Y6 reflects the great attributes that made her sire GCC Black Watch so popular; she is soggy made and soft with an ideal leg set, big top, wedgy front, and a perfect udder. A Black Watch son sold for $54,000 in Griswold’s sale this year, and a daughter sold last year for $22,000 in their female sale. Here is a female with such potential.

W435 originates from the herd of one of our dearest friends Kal Herring in Encampment WY. A trip to the Denver Stock Show isn’t complete without seeing my dad’s old stall neighbor, Kal. We loved this female at the Classic Female Sale. Her incredible dimension of rib and depth, coupled with her functional fleshing ability and style make her a cow worth owning. Her sire GCC Total Recall has produced several offspring that have sold for over $20,000 including a $65,000 bull calf.

Excerpts from the last letter of my uncle Gib-Died in WW1 in France“…There are some things on earth worse than death and one of them is backing down when the other boys are giving their time and perhaps their lives for their country. Life to me is dear. I have a lot to live for but I always want to be able to say that I did my part, and I know that though it is costing us a lot you are thankful that I am here. Generations to come may not know of the humble soldiers who are fighting for liberty and peace but time will never erase the big thing (freedom) that these soldiers will bring to the world.” –Pvt. James G. Yardley, March 29, 1918. Taken from the last letter written by my Uncle Gib before he died and written to his loving parents. I was named after him; my dad idolized my Uncle Gib. James Gilbert “Gib” was able to meet his brother Jack who was serving an LDS mission in New York, just before he was shipped overseas to fight in WW1. He never made it back, he died Oct. 20, 1918 WWI, somewhere in France.

S37 has always been one of my favorite Angus cows on the ranch. She has the show style, hair and dimension of a high quality Maine Anjou in an Angus package. Her sire, WK Gunsmoke was the Reserve Champion bull in Denver several years back and has in turn been the sire of several winning individuals. We love the cows out of this outstanding individual. S37 has been a real producer; Her last bull calf sold for $4,250 to a long time customer and friend Von Bean of Limhi, ID.

Z20 has the phenotype and pedigree for greatness on both sides. Her maternal grand dam of Z20, G69 is a true cornerstone in our Angus genetics. Her twelve calves averaged nearly 680# adj. WW. We have used a maternal sister to Z20’s dam, W172, with great success. Her first bull calf sold for $6,000. Z20’s sire SAV Mustang sold for $80,000 in Schaff’s ’10 sale. We have used him in our herd with great success including our ’13 top selling Angus bull Black Mustang to astute cattleman Rayne Bagley for $10,000.

I believe a man’s greatest possession is his dignity and that no calling bestows this more abundantly than cattle ranching.I believe that ranching is the most honest and honorable way a man can spend his days on this earth.I believe ranching nurtures the close family ties that make life rich in ways money can’t buy.I believe ranching provides education for life and that no other occupation teaches so much in such a variety of ways.I believe that by my toil I am giving more to the world than I am taking from it, an honor that does not come to all men.I believe when a man grows old and sums up his days, he should be able to stand tall and feel pride in the life he’s lived.I believe in cattle ranching because it makes all this possible.

Wise cattlemen recognize the value and reap the rewards of exceptional genetics produced through generations of structurally sound, phenotypically flawless, productive females. Z201 comes from such stock; her dam’s past four bull calves averaged over $6,000. Her ’09 calf topped the sale at $8,000, selected by Korey Abbott of Duchesne, UT. More recently a maternal sister caught the eye of renowned showman Scott Trennepohl of Iowa for $13,000. We just recently sold Z201’s dam at 15 years old, a statement to longevity and productivity.

“When God wants a great work done in the world or a great wrong righted, he goes about it in a very unusual way. He doesn’t stir up his earthquakes or send forth his thunderbolts. Instead, he has a helpless baby born, perhaps in a simple home. And then God puts the idea into the mother’s heart, and she puts it into the baby’s mind. And then God waits. The greatest forces in the world are not the earthquakes and the thunderbolts. The greatest forces in the world are babies.”

Y1 High Regard was the $30,000 high selling bull in our 2010 sale to John Goken and Dale Werning Families of SD. Sired by Yardley Impressive x Y1 Pinion. The calves sired by High Regard are stout, cool made, and consistent. He is siring sale toppers across the country demanding as much as $75,000. Another daughter was just crowned Grand Champion at the prestigious and tough Simmental Junior Nationals, the American Royal and Denver. High Regard hails from generations of good uddered, broody made females. They are real world cattle that will work in the show ring and we know will work in the pasture. As a complete outcross to Dream On he is the go to sire for functional, consistent quality. Sexed semen available.

Three separate breeds, three individual herds of cattle, one common goal. Our focus in all three breeds is to produce cattle with rib shape, dimension, solid tops, easy fleshing, and be structurally sound and functional. We will continue to focus on solid cow families combined with powerful herd sires. Semen Available on all sires.

Billy the Kid did not disappoint. He has sired a group of calves second to none. They are big bodied, stout made, and there just isn’t any throw aways in them. They exhibit a soft made, easy doing look that is popular in everyone’s cow base. Billy the Kid was a member of Grindstone Creek Farms Pen of Three in Denver 2011. He has quickly earned a place in our Herd sire pen. You’re going to fall in love with his daughters at our Focus on the Female sale.

We consider this bull one of the very best, if not the best bull we have ever raised. I am as critical a bull buyer as there is in the country and there isn’t one single thing I don’t like about this bull. He has perfect phenotype every place you look at him. I don’t like high tailed cattle. I want them square over that tail head and he is. Jeannie loves his perfect built, moderate sized mother as good as any cow we own. L21 was seven years old when we sold her, she brought $7,700 selling to Greg Kroupa of White Lake, SD. She was as pretty a cow as we’ve ever owned. T170 was her last calf that she had and is as pretty as her dam.

Whirl of a Dream was the pick of our Simmental bull calves several years ago. He’s big topped, large scrotaled, with bone and great muscle shape. His dam, B75, has been a top producer for us. She raised this calf at 17 years old, he weaned off at 712# with no creep and she was fat when she came home. A wise cattleman once told me if you love the cow, breed one of her sons and you’ll replicate her. There is performance with power in this pedigree. We couldn’t be more excited about his calf crop. They are functional, big ribbed, thick made cattle with performance. His bull calves last year averaged higher than any other sire group, averaging over $7,000.

Joy’s Elegance was Grand Champion in Denver in the Junior show and matured into as picture perfect cow as she was show heifer. A true test of a great show heifer doesn’t come in the showing, it comes in her ability to produce and transmit the same look and quality in her offspring. Joy’s produced $106,000 in progeny sales this past year on four head with one of the most consistent flushes ever produced at Griswold Cattle. The two yearling heifers produced are proving to be as competitive in the show ring as their great dam. Nickels n’ Dimes is big topped and complete with plenty of rib, dimension, style and power with a killer look. This is the kind of bull to change a program with! Owned with Griswold Cattle.

Great cattle it seems are built by great cow families and the E119 cow family has been one of the most profitable we have ever owned. It doesn’t matter the generation E119 falls back through on the pedigree chart, they are destined to be good. N130 is a daughter of K114, E119’s best daughter and both donors. All three of these great females have produced sale toppers, the quality doesn’t get any better. Ensign is a bull that stuck out as soon as you walked in the pen. With plenty of rib, bone and power along with the look it takes to make class winners and sale toppers. He’s the real deal and we couldn’t be more excited about him!

I had the opportunity to go to the Grass to Grid Sale, before I married John. I fell in love with Hard As Steel before I was real sure I was in love with John! I circled his lot number, put a star next to his name, and wrote love this bull in my footnotes. With a 70# BW, 15.67 REA, and a 40.5 yearling scrotal he was one you could like off of paper but he got better after a visual analysis. He is a female maker that is huge bodied with fleshing ability and style. His first calf crop did not disappoint. Owned with Curt Schoner, and Griswold Cattle Company. His mother has been in ET at Griswolds, she is one of the best cows that they purchased from Tim Ohlde. Hard as Steel cost us $12,000. He sired many high dollar cattle for us this past year.
Longevity is an essential part of a profitable cow. This bull is out of a first calf heifer, who is out of one of the two oldest cows on our ranch. She went strong till 17 years old! She has averaged 81# BW’s on 14 head of calves! Out of one of the premier purebred calving ease Simmental sires, Cut Above. With a smooth shoulder and softness throughout. Chrome has proven himself as a purebred calving ease herd sire that is an outcross to Dream On.

With his flawless phenotype that combines a massive hind quarter with a big top, deep chest, smooth shoulder, big hoof and ideal leg set in a unique blend of power and softness. He has an equally impressive set of weights with a huge spread from 78# at birth to 764# at weaning. His quiet disposition and awesome pedigree trace back to our herd matriarch and donor E119, is filled with equally impressive herd matrons and make Wah Wah the complete package and impeccable addition to our bull battery.

the Nebraska State Fair, Iowa State Fair, The American Royal, Kansas City, North American in Louisville, and the greatest of all stock shows the National Western in Denver. He’s about perfect in his phenotype. My good friend Stan Sears from California and I were watching them judge the show and when he won we decided to buy him. He is by Steel Force out of an OCC Legend daughter. He had a 64# birth weight so we bred him to quite a few heifers. He cost us $15,000. He really held his flesh well after we turned him out to breed. Owned with Stan Sears.

Apache Brave is going to go down as one of the greatest sires of Yardley Cattle Co. His progeny are top of the pen with 11 head of bulls averaging $4,568. He is an easy calving sire that produces cattle that have look and style. Grass fat cattle are what we need to breed. He always maintained his flesh while breeding cows and he wasn’t a bull that needed to primped and pampered. Apache was a moderator that kept performance and bred depth and rib into his progeny. Owned with Matt Sherwood.

Royal Jet is the type of bull that defines where we are taking our program; Soft made cattle that carry performance, thickness, fleshing ability, and style. OCC Jet Stream is now deceased, he stands as one of Ohlde’s greatest herd sires. Look at the performance this bull carries coupled with a perfect phenotype. This is as good as Angus bull as you will find anyplace. We used him to clean up all of our Angus heifers this past year. He’s the type of bull that will add belly, rib, and doability, without taking pounds away from your bottom line.

OHL Next to Heaven was the leadoff Lot 1 bull in our good friends Wayne and Barb Ohlrichs sale this past spring. They felt he was one of the best bulls that they have ever raised of any breed. He has performance, muscle, body, smoothness, structure, style and balance - he has it all. You could label this bull any breed you wanted and be exited about him, there just isn’t many Angus bulls that are made this good! When you study him from the ground up it’s hard to find a hole in him. It’s pretty easy to see why he created such a stir in Denver, he’s the real deal!

Yardley Zion X288 AnGuS rEG # 17036377 Sire: SCC Apache BraveDam: Miss Yardley S504 by SAF Bando 5175 S504 has been one of our very top producers, she does not miss. Zion was
a bull that stood out as a top individual from the time we weaned. He had as much rib, rear quarter, power and overall mass as any bull in the pen. We just weaned his first calf crop, they have performance and eye appeal. He was severely hurt as a yearling, we babied him along for a solid year and he recovered. He is as pretty a mature bull as you could picture with the pedigree and performance to stand out from the crowd.

I’m not so much myself, Lord, but here where I belong,My feelings fit the country, and my cowboy heart beats strongWith thankfulness that your big sky can look down from aboveMost any day and find me glad I’m doing what I love:Just looking after cattle, independent as a king.Admiring snow in winter, smelling sagebrush in the spring.
Among my many blessings I enjoy an honest prideIn my own horse for partner everywhere I need to ride.I’m thankful that You let me live in this wide open land,To see the rainbows colors painted by Your loving hand.
My life’s tied up with cattle, Lord—a hardy life but free,Where snow means grass next summer, and a man can plainly seeYour handiwork on every side, My thanks Lord, are sincere,For friends, good grass, fat cattle, and a good ranch country.
