If the Akrapovic Slip-On system does not satisfy your needs for increased per-formance, we also offer an Akrapovic EVOLUTION complete exhaust system. This system offers a major increase in power and torque. Like the Slip-On sys-tem, the EVOLUTION is designed in order to satisfy both the European and American markets. For the European market, the system has a built-in FIM 94 dB Enduro noise damper, and for the American market it has an approved spark arrester. This system is intended for riders who expect maximum performance from their exhaust system.

PERFORMANCE

Measurements of the Akrapovic EVOLUTION system on the YAMAHA YFZ 450 (without spark arrester or noise damper):

Power: the Akrapovic EVOLUTION system offers a substantial improvement on the performance of the Slip-On system. The engine gets to breathe to its fullest through-out the entire rpm range. Max. power is 44.85 HP at 9500 rpm. With the spark arrester installed the result is even better: 45.08 HP. The system complements the engine perfectly, which is shown with the max. increased power coming at the very top of the range at 8000-10000 rpm.Torque: if you like the power curve, take a look at the torque curve. The torque gets a massive boost from the Akrapovic EVOLUTION system, making it extremely respon-sive to twisting the throttle.

CONFIGURATION

The Akrapovic EVOLUTION system for the Yamaha quad is the popular Offroad de-sign, which suits the ATV character. The header tube is conical and made of titanium. It is attached to the conical titanium link pipe with a free-floating joint held together with a silicon-shielded tensioning spring. The link pipe is welded to the muffler. The inlet cap is made out of stainless steel due to the weld with the link pipe. The muf-fler inner perforation is also made of stainless steel. The outlet cap and muffler outer sleeve are made of titanium. The system is attached to the quad using two Akrapovic carbon-fiber road clamps. For the European market it has a built-in FIM 94 dB noise damper, and for the American market it has an approved spark arrester, which is indi-cated by a laser engraving on the muffler.
