This screen illustrates the results generated by the pipe. Note that the results may displayed or

treated as an RSS feed or a JSON (JavaScript Object Notation is a lightweight data-interchange

format. It is easy for humans to read and write. It is easy for machines to parse and generate. It is

based on a subset of the JavaScript Programming Language, Standard ECMA-262 3rd Edition -

December 1999. JSON is a text format that is completely language independent but uses

conventions that are familiar to programmers of the C-family of languages, including C, C++, C#,

Java, JavaScript, Perl, Python, and many others. These properties make JSON an ideal

data-interchange language.)

A More Complicated Pipe

This pipe redirects news feeds from Yahoo, Google, MSN, etc., and combines those feeds into a

single feed. Note that in this instance the URL Builder module is being used as the primary input

component, because it enables the designer to extract references to a specific feed from an

aggregate source and then redirect them through the Fetch Feed module. Under this example, the

content of the feed may be altered merely by specifying another subscription, e.g., mashable

instead of techcrunch.
