American Short Termers In June 2016, a group of 24 Americans college students came over for a Short Term exposure among Filipino students in the campuses and the local culture. Being in the High School ministry, Jean and I helped them accomplish their GOAL: To learn to share Jesus in the Philippine campus context. My wife and I prayed. We had been in this campus for years. The campus is experientially open to class- room evangelism. We prayed that the Lord help the American students experience what they desire. We visited a number of classrooms with the cooperation of the principal and the teachers. The students are very responsive. The American students were already briefed that Filipino students are relational especially to foreigners, as they also like to experience new friendships with other cultures. The following days that followed were days of fruitful friendship and responses to the gospel. Although lots were skeptics, many had come to the Navigators building for fellowships and hearing of the word shared to them. After The American Visit The Short Termers’ visit was fruitful. It benefited all parties. The Americans got their goal accomplished, the students got new friends, and the local ministry got a lot of students for follow-up. The weeks that followed were fellowships of students at different grade levels. We again do evangelism reviews and profiling to get familiar with the students and their life background. Jean and I are making use of our time wisely because there were only two of us and students came in drove for fellowship and Bible study. The Students at Close Range It was an opportunity to know them at close range. We discovered how sad their lives are. Many of them are kids from:

v Broken families [Either the father and Mother left home when they were little] v Out of wedlock [Unwanted kids] v Left behind [Their parents left for abroad for “a living”] v Separation [He/she grows in either of the parents or grandparents]

The FATHER Heart of God & Assurance of Salvation These are messages and discussion topics we facilitated with a video. It ts used by God to look their need for the Ultimate Father, our God. Many were healed and mused that if their Dad were just around they will surely release forgiveness and will learn to move forward in life. They are still teenagers. TEAMING-UP? “The Harvest is plentiful but the workers are few…” [Matthew 9:35-38] as I reflected on this passage, I cannot get rid thinking of the situation of the High School students that God had entrusted to us, yet we know that the work is massive. Jean and I prayed that the Lord would send workers to help us. True enough the Lord made a way and we were able to network with some laborers to help us. We agreed to labor together in the Kingdom.

Teaming-up with other young leaders is a Navigator core values on inter-dependence in the body of Christ and it is working well. Most of them are young blooded, and has all the strength to go with the students. They are hungry to learn from us and we are also learning from them.

Not too long after we considered in prayer, the Lord sent to us band of brothers from a newly organized church. They are young almost in all aspects and are willing to get trained and be exposed with student ministry! They have the heart, plus, they are musically gifted with a very mature team leader.

Jean and Myself: Jean and I will do the Bible Study and Navigator Distinctive training and follow-up every Wednesday, while the band of brothers will do the worship service for praise and worship to help the students know to worship and relate with God in songs and praise every Friday of the week. They do bible discussion also from the scriptures. It is going smoothly by now! Jean and I and the band of brothers are envisioning for a very active and growing student church in this part of Denver street, Cubao, Quezon City –God willing. This church will serve students from Ramon Magsaysay High School

.

Looking Forward All of us are looking forward for a more encouraging ministry come Y2017. We thank God that even on holidays such as Christmas break, we can still make follow up and talk with them through On-line facilities and modern technologies. -BOBOT & Jean MIGRASO #whatanencouragingyearintermsofministry

The Band of Brothers

Lorenz A. in the road to Discipleship

YOU ARE A BIG PART OF IT! Just like you, Jean and I want to see these students live normal lives. We love to see them getting through high school and finish college, find good jobs , and settle for a family where they can “rewrite” the sad and painful stories of their lives. It is difficult but possible. Helping students of this kind are always the highlight of our work. We know that the Lord had called us [thatincludesyou] for the task in changing the eternal and temporal destiny of these kids.
