Y12 TripAttending an open day is widely benefical to students studying their first year at sixth form. This is because many students are unsure and apprehensive about what they would like to do in the future. Attending an open day can inform them about further education and the future career paths that might be available to them. Open days present university learning by showcasing active classes, this allows the A-Level students to gain a unique insight into student life and higher education. On an open day students will also be able to view the facilities, living blocks and speak to other students about their experiences at university. Visting an open day would therefore help the students to possibly decide on a future career path and give them a foundation to work towards.
