TRANSCRIPT
Continuing professional development (CPD)complements formal undergraduate andpostgraduate education and training.
The Dental Council recommends thatdentists complete and keep records of atleast 50 hours of CPD per year, at least 20 of which should be verifiable CPD.
With this in mind, the CPD Committee of the Association has organised a CPD Roadshow to be presented in sixlocations throughout the country.
Each seminar will run from 10.00am to1.00pm on a Saturday and the programmeis designed so that four speakers willpresent each day.
Lectures are being organised in the coreareas of CPD (see list of topics and proposed speakers).
These events will be open only to IDAmembers at a fee of €60 per delegate, andare designed to allow members to accessCPD on a regional basis.
