XVP Philosophy Xcel Volleyball Performance believes that athletes should be trained in a positive and encouraging environment while focusing on both technical and team concepts. Our coaches are dedicated to not only providing the highest quality of instruction, but teaching the game in such a way as to build the athletes’ confidence during every practice and competition. This consistency provides our players with distinct advantages and the highest potential for success. Xcel Volleyball Performance always welcomes every player with any level of experience. All athletes at XVP have an equal opportunity to learn, develop and refine their volleyball skills in a competitive and caring environment.

XVP Program Our goal is to provide the highest quality training, at the best value, in a fun environment for the families of the Western North Carolina area. With our own facility, there is a comfort knowing where your children’s practices will be held on a set schedule for planning. Our coaches specialize in Gold Medal Squared training to enhance the skill level of our athletes. In general, the club volleyball season consists of 3 Carolina Region tournaments, 3 Non-regional tournament’s, and one 2-day regional tournament that spans from January through early June. The CR (Carolina Region) establishes and organizes the schedules and venue’s throughout the state of NC.

Academic and Athletic History The recruiting process is an exciting, often stressful and hectic process! Finding a college that is the right fit for your athlete takes some time and research.

Our job at Xcel Volleyball Performance is to help

find the colleges where your player can be part of

a competitive team and receive an excellent

education.

Our Recruiter will help XVP participants by: Providing help registering with the NCAA

Clearinghouse/Eligibility Center Keeping college coaches informed on our

National Qualifiers Actively seeking out and conversing with

coaches at tournaments Staying current with college rosters and needs Assisting in the preparation of an Athletes Video

for potential colleges to review

We will be there every step along the way!

Program eligibility 14 and up.

Regional Team

Girls ages 13 to 18 of intermediate level. Practice two or three times per week Season runs December—April. Have the opportunity to attend up to 6 regional

competitions, as well as 2 national level competitions (based on the team’s desire).

This team is for girls who want to play on a competitive team and work to improve their skills, but may not want to commit the time or financial resources required by a national team.

Able to attend skill clinics at no extra cost.

National Team

Girls ages 14 to 18 of elite skill level. Practice three or four times per week Season runs December—June. Attend 2—3 national tournaments, up to 5 local

level tournaments, and one national championship. Play on a highly competitive team that attends

heavily recruited national tournaments, compete against the best players in the southeast, showcase their skills for numerous college coaches.

Work with a recruiting coordinator to put together a skills tape which can be mailed to prospective coaches.

Developmental Team

Girls ages 6 to 12 of a beginning level. Practice once or twice a week Season runs December—April. Learn fundamental skills and rules of the game. Will have the opportunity to attend scrimmages

and local tournaments. Able to attend skill clinics at no extra cost.
