this years Scotiabank CONTACT Photography Festival 2014.

CAPIC sought out our nation’s image creators for stellar works from a dazzling array of Canadian visionaries. The images are

sensual, edgy, magical, passionate and intuitive... emotions for which there are no words.

CAPIC is recognized as the premier home of Canada’s most influential photographers who have left their mark on Canadian history

and culture. Many image creator's have benefited from CAPIC's support in the areas of business practices & professionalism.

Many premier photographers have supported CAPIC over the decades and have served as either teachers or mentors to the new

talent moving up within the organization. This year CAPIC is also showcasing the talented artists from our RODEO6 contest.

These are photography & illustration students from across Canada who will be our new generation of artists.

CONTACT and CAPIC have collaborated to showcase the best of Canadian photographers with an exhibition of their amazing images.

Exhibiting PhotographersXposé 2014

Splitting her time between England and Canada, Lucia Gracaearned a Masters in Photojournalism from the University ofWestminster in London where she also managed the extensivearchives and two galleries of Rockarchive UK.

In 2009 she returned to Toronto to open Analogue Gallery whereshe now represents over 50 photographers, amassing a growingarchive of images never before shown in Canada.

Between teaching, lecturing and consulting, Graca curatedcountless critically acclaimed exhibitions in London, Toronto andLos Angeles as well as featuring her own work in three soloexhibitions in Toronto.

She approaches her gallery and exhibitions with the care andattention to detail. As a photographer herself, she aims to protectthe integrity of the images and the authorship of the artist, andapproaches her gallery and exhibitions with the same care andattention to detail.

She actively supports emerging artists in her annual photocompetition, Sound Image, now in its third year.
