Typical early Cape "Bobbejaanboud" with 41,5" fullstock, .69cal. barrel. Octagon to round barrel, cheekpiece to stinkwood stock. Brass pipes, triggerguard & buttplate. Good original condition but for repaired crack to tang on stock & crack ahead of triggerguard.

Bar-action lock marked to "Swinburn & Son". Octagonal 32,75" barrel with three-leaf rear sight. Chequered wrist & fore-end to stock. Engraved patchbox. Light "peppering" to rifled bore. Rifle has been professionally refinished and is in good refinished condition.

Lockplate marked "R.Redman London". Octagon to round under-ribbed 25" rifled barrel with good bore. Steel buttplate & triggerguard. Single leaf rear sight. Weight = 11lb. Bore=.923" chequered wrist. Much original finish to barrel. Slight burring to screw slot securing trigger plate & reblued hammer. Rest good plus original condition.

Double with 31,5" heavy walled 20bore smooth bore barrel & 20bore barrel rifled for winged bullet. Tangent rear sight, replacement foresight. Engraved bar action locks. Chequered wrist, well-figured walnut stock. Good refinished condition.

Italian made. Fullstock 34" barrel with patchbox to butt. Ramrod missing. Good condition.

The M1904 Portuguese Mauser rifle was used by S.A troops in the 1915 invasion of German Southwest. Wood scales to grip, blued single-edged blade marked to "SIMSON & Co. SUHL". Steel scabbard. Good plus condition.

Orange-brown composition grips & scabbard with leather retaining strap to crossguard. Very good plus condition

Orange-brown plastic grips, metal scabbard with leather retaining loop & wire cutter insulation. Good plus condition.

Blade marked to "Simson & Co. Suhl". Wood grips with two screwbolts, one of which is missing. Good overall condition.

No Scabbard. Enfield manufacture. Blade dated "9 99". Well marked, good condition.

Issued for Mauser 88,98 Lebel & Moisin-Nagant series rifles. All steel hilt, cross guard with open muzzle ring, steel scabbard with frog stud, fullered 312mm blade. Light surface pitting to hilt & crossguard. Blade & scabbard good condition. Scarce.

Chequered black leather grips secured by three & four rivets. Steel pommel & crossguard. Heavy Yataghan blade with fullers to both sides. W.K.C. manufacture. Extensive acceptance/inspection stamps to blade which is also marked "A.F". Good original condition. No scabbard.

Reddish brown composition grip with rounded grip butt. Wire-cutter scabbard with insulator. GC.

"Apple-corer" model. Green webbing SADF frog to one of the bayonets. Both GC.

.303 No.4 spike bayonet, no scabbard. R1/FN 7,62mm "Apple-corer, no scabbard. FN type C export bayonet with SADF marking, no scabbard. Uzi 9mmp SMG bayonet, SAP marked, no scabbard. All good condition.

Standard long-pattern bayonet. Wood scales, steel scabbard. Good to good plus condition.

For Mlle. 1892, 1892/17 and 1916 rifles. Knife blade of 400mm, composition grips, forward-swept quillion, steel scabbard. Good condition.

Knife blade of 400mm fullered on both sides. Wood grips held by rivets, forward-swept quillion. All steel scabbard. Matching numbers to scabbard & bayonet. Good original condition.

For Berthier model 1892, 1892/17 and 1916 rifles. Wood grips, 400mm knife blade fullered on both sides. Notches to blade in front of the ricasso to engage scabbard springs. Shortened forward swept quillion. Good plus original condition.

Shortened Lebel, model 1916 bayonet modified c.1917 and issued to Indo-Chinese troops, motor-vehicle drivers and cyclist units. Approx 10 000 made. Cruciform section 343mm blade, bronze-nickel hilt. Some dings to hilt, rest good original condition.

Based closely on the Swedish Mauser bayonet, but utilising wood scales rather than an all-steel grip. Manufactured in Egypt c.1950s.

For the SVT semi-automatic rifle. Wood grips held by two screws, blued blade & crossguard. All steel scabbard with a webbing frog fixed to a loop on the back. Good condition.

As used by SAP & SADF. Steel scales to grip, leather frog. Excellent condition.

As used by SADF. Latch spring missing, rest of bayonet good plus condition.

Also known as the "Smatchet" the knife was issued to Medical Corps, MG squads clearing fields of fire and other "chopper" tasks. Double-edged spear point blade of 103/8" marked "U.S. MOD.1917" to one side of ricasso and "PLUMB PHILA 1918" to opposite side. Birds head pommel, wood grips, crossguard and leather scabbard with brass throat and belt hanger. Scabbard marked "USMC BOYT 44". All good original condition.

Blade shortened, hooked quillion removed, Arabic markings to ricasso. Modification apparently performed in the 1930s. Complete with "A.S.F.A." marked leather frog. Good to good plus condition.

Also used on the M1916 Artillery short rifle. Sabre blade, 400mm, fullered with Toledo Arsenal marking. Chequered wood grips secured by two countersunk bolts. Leather scabbard with steel mounts. This bayonet would also fit on the "Boer Mauser" rifle. Some isolated discoloration marks to hilt & chape, rest good original condition.

Brightly polished Yataghan blade, fullered and slightly curved. Wood grips secured by two rivets, crossguard with muzzle ring & finial. All steel scabbard. Good to good plus condition. The ZAR purchased the balance of the undelivered Gueddes M1885 rifles when Portugal adopted the Kropatschek rifle.

T-section blade marked "Mre d'armes de St.Ettiene Jessier 1879". Forward curved quillion, steel scabbard. Matching numbers to crossguard & scabbard. Good original condition.

Silver-alloy hilt, forward curved quillion, 520mm cruciform section blade. Steel scabbard. Good original condition.

Heavy Yataghan blade fullered on both sides. Chequered black leather grips, strongly curved quillion with finial. Face of pommel marked with letter "C". Scabbard has black leather body with steel mounts. Some discoloration to pommel, bright steel blade. Good to good plus overall.

German made, manufacturer's name in Arabic to the ricasso. Blade = 463mm, black leather scabbard with steel mounts. Plain wood grips, forward curved quillion. Good plus original condition.

Introduced in the 1920's the .26 BSA was one of the early "magnum" cartridges launching a 110gr. bullet at 3100fps. Action was based on the P-14 Enfield action with 2-leaf folding peep sights to action and 4-leaf rear sight to 27" barrel. BSA Piled Arms trademark & "B.S.A. .26 1923 MODEL SPORTING RIFLE" to barrel. Light cordite "peppering" to bore and some light carrying wear to finish on metalwork. Overall good condition.

Smooth large ring receiver with large Mauser banner, lever release magazine floorplate, tangent rear sight, barrel band swivel and ramp foresight to 24" barrel. In the event that the purchaser fails in his obligation to Classic Arms to pay such fee, Classic Arms, may at its own discretion, resell such item to recover such fee.

4. We reserve the right to withdraw any property at any time prior to the actual sale of such property. Unless actually stated by the auctioneer, all lots shall be offered against their catalogued number and no lot shall be divided for sale

5. We reserve the right to reject any bid. The highest bid acknowledged by the auctioneer shall be deemed to be the final bid price.In the event of any dispute between bidders or, if in the sole opinion of the auctioneer he doubts the validity of a bid, the auctioneer shall have the sole right to determine the successful bid or to re-offer the property in dispute for sale.Our sale records shall be conclusive in any dispute during or after conclusion of the sale.

6. If for any reason beyond our control, including but not limited to, fire, theft, acts of God, or insurrection, we are prevented from delivering the property to the purchaser, then we will be liable only for the sum actually paid therefore by the purchaser and shall in no event include payment for consequential or incidental damages. Classic Arms accepts no liability for any losses of whatsoever nature caused by any legislative changes in regard to the possession, by individuals or bodies, of firearms or ammunition.

If a lot is offered subject to a reserve (this being the confidential minimum price required by the consignor) then Classic Arms reserves the right to open the bidding or to bid on the consignor’s behalf in order to protect such reserve. Classic Arms shall not bid on the consignor’s behalf above such reserve. IN NO EVENT MAY A CONSIGNOR BID ON ANY PROPERTY OFFERED FOR SALE BY SAID CONSIGNOR.8. All lots are sold “Voetstoets”. By bidding at an auction in person, or by agent, order-bid or telephone or other means, the buyer or bidder agrees to be bound by these Conditions of Sale.Any dispute controversy or claim arising out of or relating to this Agreement, or the breach, termination or validity thereof, brought by or against Classic Arms (but not including claims brought against the consignor by the purchaser of the lots consigned hereunder) shall be resolved by the parties in 10. In the event that identical absentee bids are received then the first bid received shall take preference.
