After viewing the Kapoor exhibition at the MCA, I realised that Kapoor deals with the destruction of nature in most of his works. Like nature, Kapoor’s works are very fragile and self-generative. As a result of this, they can decay at anytime if they are not extensively and properly cared for. This is what I based my work around: fragility, decay and self-generation. The added 4th dimension of time creates a sense of mystery in the work, as each time it is viewed it is ever so slightly different to the last time it was viewed. 04/2013
