Filling the X1 with coffee

Remove the hopper lid and pour fresh, whole bean espresso into the hopper. Regular espresso should always go in the left side of the hopper. Decaf should always go into the right side of the hopper.

Never fill the hopper completely. Try to only put in enough coffee to get you through the day. This will help insure that your coffee is always fresh.

Preparing the milk

Put cold milk into the steaming pitcher. Milk should be high enough to cover the bottom of the steam tip.

Place the steaming pitcher under the steam arm and set it on the drip tray.

If you’re making a cappuccino push the button on the right. The picture on this button is of a cup with foam on the top

If you are making a latte push the button on the left. The picture on this button is of a cup with steam coming out.

Making a Drink

While the milk is being prepared, place the appropriate sized cup under the spout and select the drink button you need. (Single, Double or Triple).

When the coffee and the milk have both been completed, combine the milk with the coffee. Put a lid on the cup and serve it to the customer.

Coffee will come out with the brush and settle on top of the X1.

Drop a cleaning tablet into the opening and then close the door.

There will be green lights flashing on the front of the machine. Lift up the flap on the front of the X1. On the left hand side you’ll see 4 buttons.

Push and hold the button on the lower left until the machine goes into the cleaning mode. (You’ll need to hold the button for 4-8 seconds)

The cleaning process takes approximately 8 minutes.

While the machine is going through the cleaning cycle you should wipe down the machine with a clean dry rag. Do not use stainless steel polish on the machine. It can cause the black plastic to discolor.

When the cleaning cycle is complete, remove the drip tray. Empty it, wash the tray and the grate in the sink. Dry them both and put them back into the X1.
