The advent of the gas flow proportional counter tube and the flat reflecting crystal EDDT has made practicable the extension of X-ray spectrography to most of the third period elements. It is expected, therefore, that the EDDT crystal will enjoy increasing use, although it will not have the general applicabdlty of crystals such as sodmm chloride and lithium fluoride. Abstract Two theta values for EDDT have been calculated and tabulated

for wavelengths between 0 701 A and 8.735 A m the first through fourth orders.

The advent of the gas flow proportional counter tube and the flat reflecting crystal EDDT has made practicable the extension of X-ray spectrography to most of the third period elements. It is expected, therefore, that the EDDT crystal will enjoy increasing use, although it will not have the general applicabdlty of crystals such as sodmm chloride and lithium fluoride.

Normally EDDT wall be used only in the detection of low atomic number elements. The need for a detaded table of two theta values for this crystal would be slight, therefore, were it not for the following:
