The Great Wall
I think this is the most important innovation of China. The Great Wall is one iconic
symbol of China, symbolizing the perseverance and diligence of the Chinese civilization. There
simply arent many cultural landmarks on the earth that symbolize the sweep of a nations
history more powerfully than the Wall. I also think that the Great Wall of China represents
beautiful architecture. This is a piece of art that took months to build. People thought the Great
Wall of China as the wall of peace. This is one reason why I think this is the most important
innovation of China.
Yan and Zhao constructed extensive fortifications to defend their own borders. Built to
withstand the attack of small arms such as swords and spears, these walls were made mostly by

different times and places have been integrally maintained, while the unparalleled national and
cultural significance of the Great Wall to China is still recognized today.
The Great Wall is an inspiration to all of us. Today, it is one of the Seven Wonders of the
World. The Great Wall represents a collective effort of millions of people from many of China's
imperial dynasties and pre-imperial states. We think of it as a beautiful landmark and the effort
it took to make this beautiful creation.
