This file lists all changes made to ETABS since the last release. Most changes do not affect most users. Significant

issues are indicated with an asterisk (*) in the first column of the tables below.

Changes from V9.7.3 (2011-08-03)

Design Enhancements Implemented

* Incident Description

* 38810 Chinese design has been updated to the 2010 specifications for seismic load patterns, response-

spectrum functions, load combinations, concrete frame design, and the seismic provisions for steel

frame design. These enhancements are consistent with the following specifications: “GB50011-

2010 Code for seismic design of buildings”, “GB 50010-2010 Code for design of concrete

structures”, and “JGJ 3-2010 Technical specification for concrete structures of tall building”.

Models from previous versions that are opened in the current version will have the code specified

for the following items changed to “Chinese 2010” if it was previously “Chinese 2002”: seismic

load, wind load, response-spectrum functions, concrete frame design code, and steel frame design

code. Because of this, results may change to reflect the new code provisions.

Miscellaneous

* Incident Description

41131 The version number has been changed to v9.7.4 for a new minor release. The analysis .LOG and

.OUT files will show v9.6.0.0. This version is compatible with CSiXRevit v2012.0
