Wham TVC 3 – Wait
Route: Get It
TVC opens on two young college kids standing at a bus stop, waiting for a bus.
One of the college kids, turns and says to the other: Dude, you just wait and see man,
I’m going to save up pocket money till my birthday and I’m going to get one killer mobile!
When suddenly, a large cigarette boat falls on the boy, Wham!
The camera pans in to show Chris Gayle dressed in an attractive and lavish Gucci suit.
We see that he is standing on the boat and holding up in his hands a magazine that
has his face on the cover.
Chris (turns to the boy and speaks): You just don’t get it, do you?
Chris hops off the boat…
And hands the boy a Wham mobile as he continues to speak in a smooth fashion:
Just get a Wham mobile.
(The following sequence comprising of this frame and the other two to follow,
are carried out in quick cuts back and forth)
“Wham?” the boy inquires.
“Wham.” Chris states assertively.
WHAM!
WHAM! – we see the words on a banner attached to small a plane that’s flying above.
Cut back to Chris as he says to the boy, “So you can take your pick from Wham’s range
of killer mobiles priced below Rs. 3,500, which you can afford right now by the way.”
While this line is being spoken Chris is seen holding up his own big screen
Wham smartphone. Chris uses one finger to scroll across the various models of
affordable Wham phones on his mobile.
(Once again, the following sequence comprising of this frame and the other two
to follow, are carried out in quick cuts back and forth)
“Get it?” Chris turns to the boy crushed under the cigarette boat and asks.
“Get it.” the kid answers without even looking up from the mobile in his hand.
HE GOT IT!
HE GOT IT! - says the banner attached to the same small plane that’s flying above,
in a celebratory fashion.
The cigarette boat immediately rises off the kid until it goes off the screen.
Cut back to Chris as he says, “Wham! Get it.”
We zoom in on the ‘Wham!’ logo attached to the banner of the plane that’s flying above,
(After which, we close on the Wham logo.)
