* It is neuro-degenerative disaese caused by prions * Prions replicate by converting a normal cellular protein into copies of prions * Prions are non-conventional disease agents * It can confuse with Mad Cow Disease

* 1st symptom is that the affected sheep will be apart from the flock & will be in front to lead the herd or at the end to trail the herd when the herd is driven * As the disease progress animals have high-stepping or trembling * Convulsions * Scraping body with the wall * Drink small quantities of water often * Blindness
