Project Goals

• 60Kw-VHF transmitter – CH9, parallel configuration system;• RF system to allows any combination between the pair of the

30KW TX’s and antenna systems available• System switching done automatically/manually, no

interruptions;• Line optimized (VSWR better than 1.07), good insulation

between the combined paths (more than 60dB) • Remote Control operation, with Local mimic panel for the RF

system patching.• Design the system for installation into a room with ceiling

restrictions, minimum distance to the walls, 18”, air ducting, and complete in two phases.

RF system design

• System parallel configuration is designed to use:• two VHF 30KW transmitters,

• two Diplexers,

• A Contactless switch,

• and Patching system;

• The transmission line used is :• 1-5/8” for aural;

• 3-1/8” for visual and combined (aural +visual);

• 4-1/16” for combined transmitters;

• 6-1/8” for the Antenna Lines.

• The key factors for design where: max line avg. power, VSWR derating, insertion loss contribution to final power at the gas barrier and space limitations.
