MACHINE GUNS

They could fire over 600 bullets in one minute and they were so effective that they were called "Weapons of mass Destruction”.

The German army were the first to use chlorine gas in the battle of Ypres in 1915.

1917

The USA enters the war on the side of France and Britain

PLANES

Planes were used to deliver bombs and for spying work but became fighter aircrafts during WWI

1918

Germany and France signed the treaty to end the war.

GRENADES

The Germans introduced the Grenade also known as the Stick grenade on the battlefield.

1919The treaty officially ends WWI
