    1/1

    August 31, 2004

In response to the Let Freedom Ring Press Release:

Even though the jury in the WWASPS vs. P.U.R.E and Sue Scheff case failed to comprehend the

damages done by Ms. Scheff, the damage to our reputation is clear. Because of our rapid growthand documentation of hundreds and hundreds of Very Happy clients, the jury could not grasp theamount of damage Ms. Scheffs falsehoods caused our members students and families.

WWASPS and its affiliates had some major victories during this litigation:

Ms. Scheff also filed suit against WWASPS for RICO, fraud, defamation, and conspiracy.Due to the ridiculous and outlandish nature of those allegations, and in The FederalCourts wisdom, her counterclaims never made it to trial.

The fact remains that neither WWASPS or any of its member schools were on trial. The

confusing display of information during the Defenses presentation made it impossible for the juryto separate the information related to WWASPS and its schools from the information, testimony, and videos allowed to be shown and heard that were from locations without affiliation withWWASPS. This false information confused the jury beyond their capability to understand thefacts of the case.

Defense testimony centered around ex-students with a long history of lying and false accusation(even against a parent) and disgruntled and incapable ex-employees (one from WWASPS and onefrom a member school). As far as Amberly Knights testimony, we find it hard to believe that acredentialed educator in a position of authority at Dundee Ranch would idly sit by if, in fact, therewere signs of abuse of any type. Ms. Knight was Director at Dundee Ranch for approximately sixmonths. Why would she sit by and allow any poor treatment of children and not take action as her education would have trained her for and the law requires. Her lack of action proves to us thatshe witnessed no wrong doing. If we are wrong, and she did witness poor treatment of a child anddid nothing to remedy this or expose it to officials, she should be punished to the fullest extent of the law. She would certainly be a menace to society.

Paradise Cove was not closed by any government or government official, and we have never heard of any government investigation regarding that program/school. High Impact in Mexicowas never affiliated with WWASPS.

WWASPS is a non-profit membership organization that provides agreed upon services to privately owned and operated Specialty Boarding Schools and Treatment Centers.
