Week-end Schedule
Raffle/Silent Auction
There will be a silent auction this year, so bring those address labels to place on the raffle ticket if you don’t want to write your name a hundred times. Each guild is asked to bring 4-5 baskets to donate for the auction. If you don’t belong to a guild you are still welcome to donate an item. We encourage everyone to participate.
Someone Else‟s Treasures You’ve heard the quote, ―One man’s trash is another man’s treasure‖. This year we will again have a table set up for you to bring those baskets items you have had for years and still haven’t used on your baskets. If you find something on the table you could use, it is yours. Just deposit a monetary donation for it in the box on the table. Whatever you think it is worth to you. It is a win-win situation: Someone was able tot give away something they didn’t want, and someone else was able to find that item they just had to have. The money collected will be used to help sponsor a scholarship for next year’s convention.

CATHY CUPP
When Cathy made her first basket almost 30 years ago, little did she know she would start, own, and
operate "Cupp Basket & Supply" {now K & K Creations}. She has spent her years making baskets, writ-
ing patterns, selling supplies, and teaching classes. Over the years, she has introduced over 10,000 peo-
ple to basket weaving through weekly workshops at Massanutten Resort. She specializes in teaching
beginner and intermediate classes for guilds and seminars. Cathy says good technique taught to be-
ginners makes happier basket makers as well as more "long term" weavers. After 25 + years and 4500
baskets, she is still experimenting with materials, technique, and design.
Patty Feather
Patty began weaving in the year of 2000, attending numerous conferences and exploring unusual
materials and techniques in her designs. Patty has been teaching professionally for nine years, start-
ing in a mixed media artist‟s guild in Paducah KY, and expanding her exposure by forming active
guilds in Paducah and Mayfield KY, and Evansville IN. Patty has a BA in education, and resides in
Florida with her husband. Patty‟s basket making supply business, Feather Baskets, is based out of
her home, where she develops new basket designs. She spends most of her time teaching at conferences,
retreats[ KY, TN, IN, NC, WV, GA, OH, VA, IL, FL, PA ,MO, MI, schools, guilds, and any group inter-
ested in learning about basket weaving.
Karen Griffith
Karen was first exposed to weaving at the Sauder Village in Archbold, Ohio in 1990. She has been
weaving, teaching and designing since then. You might meet her at many of the state weaves or spe-
cial guild events. She works out of her studio in Pleasant Lake, Indiana where she teaches weekly
classes and is the owner of Farmer‟s Wives Baskets. After teaching in the public schools of Indiana for
33 years, Karen is now able to spend time reading, knitting, spending time with her precious grand-
children and of course, weaving.
Barb McNally
it all started with a tube of seed beads from the local Ben Franklin when I was twelve. I fell in love with
beading, but pushed it to the back burner when I went to college. I didn't return to it for almost thirty
years. When I rediscovered beading, it became an obsession. I love working with 11/0 Japanese delica
beads, incorporating baskets into my designs. Making bracelets are my favorite, but pins, amulet
pouches and pendants are a close second.

Keith and Bobbie Galyon
Bobbie started weaving in 2007 when our neighbor invited her to join in a day of weaving. Since then basket weaving has become a large part of her life. Bobbie en-joys the fellowship with other weavers and the different styles of baskets she has learned to use in her weaving. Along with her weaving, Bobbie is partners with her husband Keith in the business of supplying basket weavers with the supplies needed to weave baskets. Keith helps in the business by doing most of the heavy and serious woodworking. Bobbie has become more confident around the machines and tools used to manu-facture wood bases for basket weavers. Bobbie and Keith can make just about any shape or size wooden base you might need for your basket. Sugar Maple, also known as Hard Maple, is used as material for stock bases and al-so used in special orders unless the buyer requests a specific wood such as Red Oak, White Oak, Cherry, Black Walnut, Poplar or whatever can be obtained. For special orders and depending on the quantity, we need about 1-2 weeks lead time to produce the request. Any special orders you might have a need of to be de-livered at the November State Weave-in, we request you contact us as soon as pos-sible to afford us the time to prepare your order. Call us for a quote on orders you might be thinking about. If you have a pattern or specific needs it helps to make sure we produce the design you want.
Reed, D handles, Flat top handles, muffin handles, some tools and basket accessories will be available for cash and carry.
