A PORTFOLIO
SPACEA combination of past, present, and future. It is an interpretive synthesis - a creation of thoughts, belongings, and experiences.
As individuals, we create our own space, our own interpretive synthesis. My Architecture is a reflection of my space, and it is through Architecture that I desire to help another express his/her own interpretive synthesis.

R PORTVD S SPLEXThe Women’s Locker Room at the RDV Sportsplex was in need of a big face lift. It had been since the start, 18 years, since this space had seen some TLC. With a strict budget in place, not all of it could be renovated, but with a little bit of creativity some of the finishes were able to be kept.

The Holland, MI, location needed an expansion to the fitness floor. In order to accomplish this we had to demolish one of the Racquetball courts, adding 1600sq.ft. to the current floor. During this project, I worked closely with the Architects and Contractors to design the space from start to finish.

The downtown Grand Rapids, MI, location was in need of additional group exercise rooms. In order to accomplish this, we took out both racquetball courts, double-decked it, adding 1600sq.ft. of group exercise space to both the second and third floors.

With a lower than 20% occupancy and located in a prime spot near St. Mary’s hospital, a heavily trafficked hospital, this Hotel needed a desperate face lift.

The Hotel proposed three challenges: 1. Remodel rooms that hadn’t been touched in almost 20 years. 2. Create a more inviting and welcoming lobby.
3. Design a well lit hallway through other than just lighting.

Located in Downtown Rochester, this Hotel called for an updated look. There were 3 different styled rooms that needed to be remodeled along with the Lobby. We distinguished these rooms as the old wing, the new wing, and suites. Each wing was worked on in different phases.
