During the month of April, we celebrated Poetry Month by creating original poems. Each student, created a booklet called “poetry Just For Kids” IT contained ten types of poetry. THEY TYPED ONE SELECTION TO READ FOR THIS POWERPOINT.

In order to prepare us for the writing process, We examined poetry written by various authors.

They learned how to analyze a poem in order to find its theme and how to count the number of

stanzas a poem contains. We looked at rhythm, rhyming, and rhyme scheme. It even helped us

when we were learning about similes.

We hope you enjoy listening to us read our original poems.

When the quarterback throws, you catch the ball, and the people that cheer hope you do not fall,

People on the bleachers are really loud, but that’s only because they are really proud! Rowan Block
