WHAT? WPC Scientific Update: Parkinson Pipeline Umbrella Tuesday Sept. 30–Thursday Oct. 2, 2014. Six lively and engaging sessions delivered via live webcast over three days right to your computer. Sessions will be archived for later use. WHO? Talks will be given in a crosstalk format similar to the morning plenary sessions delivered at each World Parkinson Congress. Speakers will be engaging and intellectually challenging yet speak in an accessible manner to a broad audience. WHY DO THIS? Delegates at the WPC 2013 and past Congresses have repeatedly asked us to “do more” and so we are now offering this exciting online program to address the need for scientific updates. One year after the WPC 2013 and two years out from the WPC 2016, there is a lot of progress in the world of science and Parkinson’s, but it’s not easy for everyone in the community to access it. It is our intention to change that. WHERE? Online. You will be able to watch this from the comfort of your home or office via live webcast during the week of the program and afterward, via archived sessions 24 hours, 7 days a week from the WPC website. HOW TO REGISTER? Registration is FREE and will open in July 2014 at www.worldpdcoalition.org/webcast. About the World Parkinson Coalition ® The World Parkinson Coalition Inc. is a small nonprofit organization dedicated to designing and hosting an international forum every three years for members of the Parkinson’s community to learn about the latest scientific discoveries, medical practices, caregiver initiatives and advocacy work related to Parkinson disease. By bringing physicians, scientists, nurses, rehabilitation specialists, caregivers and people with Parkinson disease together, we hope that our triennial World Parkinson Congresses help to create a worldwide dialogue that will expedite the discovery of a cure and better treatment practices for this devastating disease.
