DESCRIPTION

I believe the ABCs of life are: Adversity, Blunders, and Chaos. Everything great, everything worthwhile, everything which matters, is birthed from Adversity, Blunders and Chaos. It ordinarily is not easy moving through Adversity, Blunders or Chaos. These Words of Wisdom - “WOWs” I call them - can help us keep our perspective while navigating through a situation that feels less than perfect. I am an resolute believer in a daily dose of WOW’s contributing greatly to our ability to deal with Adversity, Blunders and Chaos and assist us in creating a life we love to live. The ArtistRichard’s parents gave him a Kodak Brownie camera at age 6 – a camera which he still has… and still works – and Richard was hooked on photography. “I was born to the business. My father was a commercial photographer and I was helping in the dark room from the time I was six.”  Richard’s parents gave him his first SLR when he entered high school in order for him to produce images for the school newspaper and the yearbook.

Richard attended Western Illinois University, as well as Northeastern Illinois University, where he graduated with a degree in Business Administration. Even though Richard was pursuing a degree in business ‐ accounting, economics, and marketing, to be exact – his love for photography continued to grow.

In 1982, Richard opened Precious Moments Studio in Round Lake, Illinois. During the years Richard owned Precious Moments Photography, he met thousands of great people from all walks of life. Richard states, “… I photographed more than 700 weddings, as well as pre‐schools, a National Beauty Contest, and Seniors – I loved every minute of it because of the people I met and was able to do business with.” In 1986, Richard transplanted studio and himself to Southern California; eventually settling in Oxnard, California where he continued to take on wedding and portrait work until 1991.

In 2007, Richard started his second photography business ‐ SunRidge Photo.   A connection developed through Richard’s involvement in Toastmasters International, resulted in being commissioned to provide the photographic imagery for two books

Whether coaching, teaching, or capturing the moment with his camera, Richard enjoys helping others find their value and live their dreams. His purpose for living… YOUR SUCCESS!

Richard presently resides  in Oxnard, CA.
