WOTW:

TRAJECTORY: noun The path followed by a projectile flying or an object

moving under the action of given forces. Or “a curve or

surface cutting a family of curves or surfaces at a

constant angle.”

Krill’s class is changing the trajectory of life as we know

it. So watch out!

FILM CLUB: All members or those looking to be involved in Film

GSA AND ALICE=PAUL

COLD WEATHER CLOTHES DRIVE: 20 to 40 percent of youth experiencing homelessness

self-identify as Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual or Transgender.

This October, Oconomowoc’s GSA and Alice=Paul are

helping kids in our nearby communities stay warm by

participating in a clothes drive. Please look for the

collection bins throughout the school to donate your

new or gently used cold weather items. Thank you!

MOTH NIGHT: Thursday October 8th is Moth Night

A night and time where fellow classmates and peers

come together to hear or share stories about

memorable moments and situations.

1st term Parent/Teacher Conferences for the High

School are scheduled for

Wednesday, October 7 from 4:30 – 7:00 pm

Conferences will be held in the Field House. Progress Reports will not be available

at conferences. Please use Family Access through our school website to print your

student’s progress report before coming to conferences.

Parents may see a teacher on a first come/first serve basis. Each conference is

scheduled to last five (5) minutes. We ask all parents to adhere to this time limit,

and if a longer time is needed, please schedule a conference with your student’s

teacher at a different time. Students are welcome to accompany their parents.

JOSTENS RINGS:

Jostens will be back to take your class ring orders on

Wednesday, October 7th during lunch located

outside room 219 and from 4:30-7:00 p.m. in the

gym lobby during Parent/Teacher Conferences.

Please bring your computer printout form or your

completed order form. Extra packets are available

in the office to anyone interested.


VOLUNTEEN AT OCONOMOWOC MEMORIAL

HOSPITAL: If you are 14-18 years old, become a Volunteen at Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital. Registration packets are now

available in the Guidance Office. As a Volunteen you will:

Meet people and make new friends

Assume new responsibilities

Learn and practice clerical and office skills

Meet health care professionals and observe them at work

Obtain references for college and future jobs

Provide service to your community

Below is a list of deadlines and training dates:

Thursday, October 1 Final deadline for the registrations to be turned in.

Monday, October 19 Parent-Teen Orientation meeting at the hospital.

It is required that a parent or guardian attend this meeting. The meeting is in the evening from 6:00 – 7:30 pm.

Monday, October 26 Mandatory Training Day for students only from 3:30 pm – 7:00 pm


NHS MEMBERS: The mandatory $15 club fee is due September 30th.

DELTA EPSILON PHI:

Delta Epsilon Phi, OHS German National Honor Society, will be hosting

second annual Oktober KINDERFEST (Name changed from Kinder

Oktoberfest). We will take advantage of our GAPP partners, 27 exchange

students from sister school in Offenburg Germany, to host carnival

on Oconomowoc Village Green, on Halloween day, SATURDAY, OCTOBER

31, from 12 to 4 pm. Foods and beverages will be available for purchase

to parents, while children can enjoy free activities.
