WORTHY GIFTS IN CELEBRATION OF THE ANNIVERSARY YEAR V. N. Andrienko The year 1967 is a special year. In this year our country will celebrate its 50th anniversary. Socialist com- petition for prescheduted fulfillment of the production programs has evolved at plants, factories, and mines. The miners of our combine have pledged to produce 7.1 million t of concentrate with 64.6 % top quality in the anniver- sary year. These pledges are being successfully fulfilled. A major role in the fulfillment of the production program is being played by the crushing plant, where such remarkable people work as machine operators of the KKD-1500 crushers L S. Tikhomorov and L M. Skrygnik, elec- trician L M. Prokopchuk, senior power engineer G. S. Sidorenko, and plant chief D. S. Zubarev, who have been awarded high government honors for their labor achievements in fulfilling the Seven-Year Plan. The collective of the Komsomol-youth shift supervised by O. V. Ul'yanov is making a good showing. This collective pledged to pro- cess 300,000 t of ore in excess of the plan in honor of the forthcoming anniversary of the Soviet state, and has suc- cessfully coped with this pledge. ExceIlent labor discipline,prOper'operation of equipment, conscientious attitude toward work, and an improvement of working conditions are promoting the efficient work of the collective. The dust content of the shop has been greatly reduced as a result of reconstructing the receiving bins of the KSD and KMD crushers and the ventilation system. Reconstruction of the discharge spouts at the ore yard has elim- inated obstructions of the conveyors and partially eliminated hanging and sticking of the ore in the spout. By the conversion of the enterprise to a five-day work week, the collective of our plant was afforded great op- portunities for relaxation, and this means that we can work better and more quickly fulfill our pledges. The year 1967 is a special year.

Skrygnik, e lec- trician L M. Prokopchuk, senior power engineer G. S. Sidorenko, and plant chief D. S. Zubarev, who have been awarded high government honors for their labor achievements in fulfilling the Seven-Year Plan. The collective of the Komsomol-youth shift supervised by O. V. Ul 'yanov is making a good showing.

Reconstruction of the discharge spouts at the ore yard has e l im- inated obstructions of the conveyors and partially eliminated hanging and sticking of the ore in the spout.

By the conversion of the enterprise to a f ive-day work week, the collective of our plant was afforded great op- portunities for relaxation, and this means that we can work better and more quickly fulfill our pledges.
