WelcomeWe are very glad to have you worshiping our gracious God with us today.

Flowers The sanctuary flowers are given today to the glory of God

by Cynthia Rollosson in honor of the baptism of Annalee Atkins.

To Our Guests,We especially welcome you today! More information about our church is available on our website at firstpresaugusta.org.

Spiritual CareIf you would like to speak to someone about what it means to know Jesus Christ or you have any spiritual need or question, please use one of the prayer cards in the pew rack to contact one of our pastors. Our church elders are also available to speak with you. An elder will be standing next to the pastor following the service.

Children’s Check-inWe are committed to the highest level of protection possible for the children placed in our care on Sundays and at all church events. For this reason, we require parents of newborns through fifth grade children to check in their children before they go to the nursery, Sunday School, Catechism, Children’s Church or any other children’s activity. Several kiosks are available in the Welcome Center. The process is quick and easy, and volunteers are available if you need assistance checking in.

Children’s WorshipWe offer a specially designed program for children in pre-k through fourth grade during the morning services. A leader will escort children from the sanctuary to their classrooms during the hymn of preparation. Parents are welcome to accompany them to observe where to pick them up after the service. Parents of children in pre-k through second grade are asked to pick up their children following Sunday School or the 11 a.m. worship service.

Nursery Nurseries are provided for infants and toddlers during the worship services and Sunday School. We also provide a Mother/Infant Room located beside Nursery 1 which is equipped with live video feed of the worship services. Ushers are available to direct you.

Additional Seating Additional seating for morning and evening worship services is available each week in St. Andrew’s Hall.

As stewards of God’s resources, we try not to print an excess of bulletins. We invite you to bring this bulletin with you when you return for the evening service.

In your hands are strength and power to exalt and give strength to all.

Now, our God, we give you thanks, and praise your glorious name.

The Lord be with you.And with your spirit.Let us worship God!

Great is thy faithfulness, O God my Father; There is no shadow of turning with thee;Thou changest not, thy compassions, they fail not;As thou hast been thou forever wilt be.

Great is thy faithfulness! Great is thy faithfulness!Morning by morning new mercies I see:All I have needed thy hand hath providedGreat is thy faithfulness, Lord, unto me!

†The Pastoral Prayer and The Lord’s PrayerOur Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory forever. Amen.

The Assurance of Pardoning Grace ....................................................Psalm 51:15-17O Lord, open my lips, and my mouth will declare your praise. For you will not delight in sacrifice, or I would give it; you will not be pleased with a burnt offering. The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise.

The Offertory—Who Is This, So Weak and Helpless? .......................How and Miner

*Online giving is available at firstpresaugusta.org and at the giving kiosk

Words: William How | Music: Christopher Miner | ©1997 Christopher Miner Music

Who is this, so weak and helpless,Child of lowly Hebrew maid,Rudely in a stable sheltered,Coldly in a manger laid?’Tis the Lord of all creation,Who this wondrous path has trod;He is Lord from everlasting,And to everlasting God.

Who is this, a Man of Sorrows,Walking sadly life’s hard way,Homeless, weary, sighing, weepingOver sin and Satan’s sway?’Tis our God, our glorious Savior,Who above the starry skyIs for us a place preparing,Where no tear can dim the eye.

Who is this? Behold him sheddingDrops of blood upon the ground!Who is this, despised, rejected,Mocked, insulted, beaten, bound?’Tis our God, who gifts and gracesOn his church is pouring down;Who shall smite in holy vengeanceAll his foes beneath his throne.

Evening Prayers

Offertory—Future Past .................................................................................McMillan

Words and Music: John Mark McMillan | © Meaux Jeaux Music

You hold the reins on the sun and the moonLike horses driven by kingsYou cover the mountains, the valleys belowWith the breadth of your mighty wings

All treasures of wisdom and things to be knownAre hidden inside your handAnd in this fortunate turn of eventsYou ask me to be your friendYou ask me to be your friend

And you,You are my firstYou are my lastYou are my future and my past

The constellations are swimming insideThe breadth of your desireWhere could I run, where could I hideFrom your heart’s jealous fire

You are the beginning and the end
