NOTES:EVERYONE WHO HEARS THESE WORDS AND PUTS THEM INTO PRACTICE IS LIKE A WISE MAN WHO BUILT HIS HOUSE ON THE ROCK. – MATTHEW 7:24

WELCOME TO CROSSINGS COMMUNITY CHURCH

We’re so glad you’ve chosen to join us in worship today. Over the next hour, we will sing a few songs, join together in prayer, and hear a message that speaks to how truth and faith intersect with our lives today. In a world that pulls us in so many directions, this time of worship helps us remember what is most important as we turn our hearts and minds toward God.

We’d love to know you’re here today, so take a moment to fill out the Connection Card found in this worship guide, which includes a place where you can let us know about prayer concerns and/or questions you might have. Place the Connection Card into the offering plate/basket or into a BLUE BOX, found at each exit. Thanks again for gathering with us today at Crossings!

NEW TO CROSSINGS?Stop by Guest Central in the Atrium today after the service. We would love to meet you!

WANT TO TAKE THE NEXT STEP IN YOUR FAITH?Visit Next Step in the Atrium following the service today. We would love to help you find a class, group or personal spiritual growth plan!

1 7COVE(RED) — Do Not Worry!INSPI(RED) series, part twoPASTOR MARTY GRUBBS [@MARTYGRUBBS]

“So I tell you, don’t worry about the food or drink you need to live, or about the clothes you need for your body. Life is more than food, and the body is more than clothes. Look at the birds of the air. They don’t plant or harvest or store food in barns, but your heavenly Father feeds them. And you know that you are worth much more than the birds. You cannot add any time to your life by worrying about it . . . Don’t have so little faith! Don’t worry and say, ‘What will we eat?’ or ‘What will we drink?’ or ‘What will we wear?’ The people who don’t know God keep trying to get these things, and your Father in heaven knows you need them. The thing you should want most is God’s kingdom and doing what God wants. Then all these other things you need will be given to you. So don’t worry about tomorrow, because tomorrow will have its own worries. Each day has enough trouble of its own.” — Matthew 6:25-34

“The seed that fell on the rock is like those who hear God’s teaching and accept it gladly, but they don’t allow the teaching to go deep into their lives. They believe for a while, but when trouble comes, they give up. The seed that fell among the thorny weeds is like those who hear God’s teaching, but they let the worries, riches, and pleasures of this life keep them from growing and producing good fruit.” — Luke 8:13-14

THIS is the day (this crazy day with all the stuff I feel like I have to do, with all of its pressures and anxiety) . . . this is the day the Lord has made. Let us rejoice and be glad in THIS day. — adapted from Psalm 118:24

Put this card somewhere you will see it each day this week.

• WRITE down anything that causes worry, anxiety or fear in your life.

• Spend time PRAYING through each of those things, asking God to give you peace. • Look to GOD’S WORD, discovering His promises to care for and provide for you.(i.e. PSALM 56:3, PHILIPPIANS 4:6-7, JOSHUA 1:9)

Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own. - MATTHEW 6:34
