Welcome to WorldSkills UK LIVE. We want your visit to be as easy and comfortable as possible so we have compiled some tips and guidance you might find helpful. An Overview of LIVE There are various information points you can visit if you require assistance at WorldSkills UK LIVE, these are located in the centre of each zone. If you unable to find appropriate staff to assist you whilst at the event, please call 0800 612 0742. We advise all exhibitors at WorldSkills UK LIVE to (where possible) make their content/activities appropriate for all visitors. If you find loud noises particularly troubling please note that WorldSkills UK LIVE is generally a loud event. The event hosts competitions that are real workshop areas in skills like construction and engineering, which are naturally noisy. There are also some performance stages. We advise attending the event outside of peak hours (11-2 on Thursday and Friday), to avoid the biggest crowds. You might find that bringing earplugs helps you. The restaurants can also become very busy and loud during peak lunch time. Bringing your own packed lunch might be preferable for you, so you can utilise the picnic areas inside the halls. The peak visiting times are 11am-2pm on Thursday and Friday, if you would like to avoid the crowds we recommend you aim to arrive at the event either side of these times. Saturday is generally less busy. A “quiet room” will be available in room 18.3 (next to the entrance Hall 18). Please ask WorldSkills UK LIVE volunteers, or at Information points if you cannot find it. WorldSkills UK T 0800 612 0742 | E: [email protected] | W worldskillsuk.org
