MalaysiaWonHwaDoGreetings from Malaysia. In WonHwaDo last issue Malaysia was not mention that we havebeen doing WonHwaDo here since 1990.Therefore I would like to contribute with a smallarticle about Malaysia WonHwaDo and the Connection with Portugal WonHwaDo. When Ivisited Malaysia for the first time in 1990 there was a full time WonHwaDo 7 people teamunder the leadership of 2 WonHwaDo Masters from Philipines, I visited and trained at theWonHwaDo Dojang near the Kuala Lumpur China Town the famous Petaling Street.After around 1 month I returned to East Europe Slovakia and helped to established theWonHwaDo there.After my return to Portugal I carried on teaching WonHwaDo at LisbonScience Faculty Sports Gymnasium, during a total of 5 years. In 1995 I and my familyrelocated to Malaysia and I have been teaching WonHwaDo as well others Japanesemartial arts until now. Being European and teaching in Malaysia the land of the famousMalay Silat Styles of Martial Arts. Being here also brought me in contact with not onlyMalay styles but also Chinese and Indian Styles of martial arts. Overall more I doWonHwaDo and got old in age ( now 52 ), more inspired and determined I am to carryon this unique WonHwaDo legacy to the world.
