Within 20 years of signing the treaty, Europe was at

war Germany simmered with revenge for the humiliation

Italy was angry, it did not receive promised territory

Japan was angry for not securing claims to China

Russia resented being excluded from the peace process & for the

creation of new nations on land that had been part of Russia

Peoples from Africa, Asia and the Middle East felt betrayed by the

Europeans

The failures of the Paris Peace Conference lead to the

rise of Fascism, dictators, revolution and World War II
