Who We Are ?
Ecoteer
Ecoteer Responsible Travel is founded in 2010 through the growing need for more support for the projects based in Asia associated with Ecoteer.com and the creation of the Turtle and Community project on the Perhentian Islands.

Ecoteer aims to teach and support the islanders to caring for their splendid habitat whilst offering volunteers first-hand experience.
Who We Are ?Blue Temple Conservation
It is a community interest company which founded in 2012 and based in localvillage in Perhentian with three aims;
1. Marine Conservation 2. Research and 3. Awareness.
We conduct scientific and conservation research around the marine park,completing underwater surveys on coral reefs, maintaining coral nurseries andengaging with the locals.
Volunteers are welcomed to stay with us, where you can spend one or two weeks participating in conservation research, learning about environmental threatsand diving in beautiful waters.
• "World Oceans Day" was first proposed in 1992 at the Earth Summit, Brazil and unofficially celebrated every 8th June.
• Officially regonized by the United Nation General Assembly in 2008.
• Since then, it has been coordinated internationally by The Ocean Project and World Ocean Network and other global participation every year on 8th June.
• The theme of year 2015 is Healthy Oceans, Healthy Planet which f
ocus on protecting ocean and safeguard vulnerable communities and places, especially plastic pollution.

Change perspective - conserve and protect ocean for present and future generations.
Participate in a World Ocean Day event or activity would help to protect and ensureour ocean is healthy for the future generation !
Learn – discover the diverse ocean and how we are all interconnected
Change our ways – acting as caretaker of our ocean and by making a small changes in our daily life such as recycling or beach clean up
Celebrate – we are all connected to the ocean. Organize or participate in activities to raise awareness or simply celebrate our ocean !

The challenge : promise not take
any disposable plastic bags for a
whole year. Take a better bag
instead!
** Plastic trash is choking our ocean, and 80% of it
comes from land. We can do better!

Beach Clean Up Bring your friends and family along for beach clean at weekends which
will help reduce rubbish in the ocean.Your local waterways (and any rubbish in it) all
lead to the ocean, so preventing pollution in
your local community helps ocean to stay healthy.
