Speaker: Mr. Amitabha Chatterjee (Cognizant Certified Corporate Trainer)

Audience: BCA and MCA 2nd and 3rd Year students. Purpose: To expose the students to modern technologies beyond syllabus. Chief Coordinators: Sanjay Goswami and Sajal Saha General Report: The objective was to expose the students of BCA and MCA 2nd and 3rd year to the modern technologies of current time, and not covered by the current syllabus of the WBUT. These technologies are important to know and beneficial from the point of view of employment. In that term, it was Training & Placement Initiative from the Department. The aforementioned batches of students were informed well in advance. They turned up in large numbers to avail the opportunity, as it was completely free of cost for them. The students were made aware about the importance and applications of the technology. They also got an opportunity to get a hands-on experience of the technology with the expert and to hone their skills for some upcoming interview processes. 36 students participated in the program. The speaker is an expert on the subject, and was hired by Ardent Computech. The speaker’s brief profile is attached.

At the end, feedback from students collected and we got a warm response from the students. After ensuring successful completion of the workshop, the Agency provided certificates at a later date. Enclosures with this report:

He heads the Java team at Ardent and is the backbone of the training delivery team. A seasoned trainer of Java, JEE, he also specializes in Sturts, Hibernate . Empanelled corporate trainer for Wipro Technologies and Cognizant Technology Solutions.
