DucTo(VIAVISolutions)receivedaPh.D.degreeinadvancedtelecommunicationsfromSwanseaUniversity,Swansea,U.K., in2011.FromMarch2011toFebruary2012,hewasaResearchAssistantatSwanseaUniversityandgainedexperiencesin modelling for energy efficient transmissions. He is now a Senior AlgorithmEngineer in theAlgorithmsGroup,Aeroflex Limited tradingasVIAVISolutions–Wireless,Stevenage,U.K..Atthere,hehasbeenworkingonsignalprocessingforcommunications taking into account practical aspects, algorithm design and

modelling.HegraspsverygoodunderstandingsofwirelesscommunicationsstandardsincludingWi-Fi,4GLTEandthelatestandunderdevelopment5GNewRadio.

Francesco Fioranelli (Glasgow University) graduated in TelecommunicationEngineering(summacumlaude)attheUniversitàPolitecnicadelleMarche,Ancona,Italy for Bachelor (2007) and Master (2010) degrees. He received his PhD onthrough-wallradarimagingatDurhamUniversity(UK)inJanuary2014,andworkedas aResearchAssociateonmultistatic radardevelopment andapplicationswithProfHughGriffithsatUniversityCollegeLondonbetweenFebruary2014andMarch

2016.HethenjoinedtheSchoolofEngineering,UniversityofGlasgowinApril2016asanAssistantProfessor (Lecturer) in the Glasgow College UESTC, between the University of Glasgow and theUniversityofElectronicScienceandTechnologyofChina(UESTC)inChengdu,forwhichheistheExamandAssessmentCoordinator,andcoursecoordinator forteachingCircuitsAnalysisandDesign.Hisresearchinterestscoverthemultipleaspectsofdeveloping,testingandusingbistaticandmultistaticradar systems for various applications, with particular focus in approaches for automatic targetclassification in various contexts. Gheorghita Ghinea (Brunel University) is a Professor in the Computer ScienceDepartmentatBrunelUniversity,UnitedKingdom.HereceivedtheB.Sc.andB.Sc.(Hons) degrees in Computer Science and Mathematics, in 1993 and 1994,respectively,andtheM.Sc.degreeinComputerScience,in1996,fromtheUniversityoftheWitwatersrand,Johannesburg,SouthAfrica;hethenreceivedthePh.D.degreeinComputerSciencefromtheUniversityofReading,UnitedKingdom,in2000.Hisworkfocusesonbuildingadaptablecross-layerend-to-endcommunicationsystems

Giuseppe Destino (Kings College London) received his Dr. Sc. degree at theUniversityofOuluin2012,M.Sc.(EE)degreessimultaneouslyfromthePolitecnicodiTorino,ItalyandUniversityofNice,Francein2005.Currently,heisworkingasAcademy of Finland postdoctoral research fellow aswell as projectmanager ofnationalandinternationalprojectsattheCentreforWirelessCommunicationsoftheUniversityofOulu,Finland. In2017,HeworkedattheNokiaBellLabs,Oulu,under the Nokia Bell Labs and University of Oulu Joint Centre for FutureConnectivity.Since2018,he isassociatedwithKing’sCollegeLondon,Centre for

GlenfordMapp(MiddlesexUniversity)receivedhisBSc(FirstClassHonours)fromthe University of theWest Indies in 1982, aMEng (Distinction in Thesis) fromCarleton University in Ottawa, Canada in 1985 and a PhD from the ComputerLaboratory,UniversityofCambridgein1992.HethenworkedatAT&TCambridgeLaboratoriesfortenyearsbeforejoiningMiddlesexUniversityinLondonin2003,where he is currently an Associate Professor. He was also a Visiting Research

FellowattheComputerLaboratorybetween2003and2010whereheworkedonseveralprojects.Hisprimary expertise is in the development of new technologies formobile and distributed systems,vehicular networks and Smart City infrastructure. He has published over 100 papers in refereedjournalsandconferences.

Ioan-SorinComsa(BrunelUniversity)isaResearchScientistin5GradioresourceschedulingatBrunelUniversity,London,UK.HewasawardedtheB.Sc.andM.Sc.degrees in Telecommunications from the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca,Romania in 2008and2010, respectively.He receivedhis Ph.D. degree from theInstituteforResearch inApplicableComputing,UniversityofBedfordshire,UK inJune2015.HewasalsoaPhDResearcherwiththeInstituteofComplexSystems,UniversityofAppliedSciencesofWesternSwitzerland,Switzerland.Since2015,heworked as a Research Engineer at CEA-LETI inGrenoble, France.He is themain

authorofapatentinmachinelearningdomainwithdirectapplicationin5Gradioresourcescheduling.His research interests include intelligent radio resource and QoS management, reinforcementlearning,distributedandparallelcomputing,adaptivemultimedia/mulsemediadelivery.

JinhoChoi(GwangjuInstituteofScienceandTechnology)wasborninSeoul,Korea.HereceivedB.E.(magnacumlaude)degreeinelectronicsengineeringin1989fromSogangUniversity,Seoul,andM.S.E.andPh.D.degreesinelectricalengineeringfromKorea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) in 1991 and 1994,respectively. He is with Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology (GIST) as aProfessor. Prior to joining GIST in 2013, he was with the College of Engineering,SwanseaUniversity,UnitedKingdom,asaProfessor/ChairinWireless.Hisresearch

interests includewirelesscommunicationsandarray/statistical signalprocessing.HeauthoredtwobookspublishedbyCambridgeUniversityPressin2006and2010.Prof.Choireceivedthe1999BestPaperAwardforSignalProcessingfromEURASIP,2009BestPaperAwardfromWPMC(Conference),and is SeniorMember of IEEE. Currently, he is an Editor of IEEE Trans. Communications and IEEEWirelessCommunicationsLettersandhadservedasanAssociateEditororEditorofother journalsincluding IEEE Communications Letters, Journal of Communications and Networks (JCN), IEEETransactionsonVehicularTechnology,andETRIjournal.

John Cosmas (Brunel University) was born in Colombo, Sri Lanka, in 1956. Hereceived the B.Eng. degree in electronic engineering from Liverpool University in1978andthePh.D.degreefromImperialCollege,UniversityofLondonin1986.HeiscurrentlyaProfessorofMultimediaSystemswiththeCollegeofEngineering,DesignandPhysicalSciences,BrunelUniversityLondon.Heco-leadstheWirelessNetworksand Communications Research Centre, is the course director of M.Sc. AdvancedMultimedia Design and 3-D Technologies. He is an Associate Editor of the IEEE

Transactions on Broadcasting. His research interests are concerned with the development ofmultimedia systems applied to future of broadcasting, cellular communications, 2-D/3-D digitalvideo/graphics media and the synergies between these technologies towards their application

Mohsin Raza (Middlesex University) received the B.S. and M.S. degrees inelectronic engineering from Mohammad Ali Jinnah University, Islamabad,Pakistan.He receivedhis Ph.D. degree from theDepartment ofMathematics,Physics and Electrical Engineering, Northumbria University, Newcastle uponTyne,U.K.HewasalsoaLecturerwiththeDepartmentofElectronicEngineering,Mohammad Ali Jinnah University from 2010 to 2015 and Hardware SupportEngineer with USS in 2009. He is currently a Postdoctoral Researcher withMiddlesexUniversity,DesignEngineeringandMathematics.
