Predominant use of outdated means of communication such as telephone

and fax

Possible dysfunction in communications during emergencies

andnot always avalaible!!



One of the most common problems is incomplete information

Need a better organization of the data that will be easily accessible if

processed electronically in a systematic way.



As expected, the processed data are extremely heterogeneous

The system must be able to correlate very different information.



Data management tools are not homogeneus

Need to make the system independent by type of technology used


Conclusions

• The key points are incomplete or missing informations; the result is a wrong decision

• Timely information avalaibility

• Need of a better interoperability between actors

• Shared and not reliable communication infrastructures during emergency management
