Prevention of fall from the top of ISO tank container


Overview of our Company


• We provide cleaning, repairing and storage of ISO tank containers coming

from all over the world. It includes steam heating of viscous or solidified

cargoes so to facilitate discharging.

• Our vision is to lead the world in innovation and safe solutions in tank cleaning

and repair.

• We started operation in Singapore in year 1987, with an average of 10 employees. Now the work force has increased to 30 employees.

• With present facilities, we are capable of handling 1,000 ISO tank containers

per month compared to 150 ISO tank containers in 1987.

Introduction of Our Company


Before

� During repair of ISO tanks, workers need to work on top of tank (2.6m high),

workers are likely to fall off the open sides of the tanks.

� Workers are also exposed to fall hazard as they need to climb up the tank to

gain entry into the tank through manhole.

� The tank rotator effectively the hazard working on height.

� The hazard of tools & equipments dropping onto workers working below is non-existent.

� Tank can be adjusted to desired position when carrying out exterior repair.

� Higher efficiency is achieved as the time of repair is cut down from 90hrs to 50hrs for

each tank.

Benefits of Tank Rotator


� Eliminated overhead works as tank can be adjusted to desired position to carry out repair such as

interior top shell welding & exterior undersides repairs.

� It can be used for tank cleaning, inspection of interior & exterior.


Expandability

� For manhole rescue, simply rotate the point of exit to desired position to pull victim out. This

reduce time spent on setting up lifting tripod stand & also the risk of rescuer falling from height.

� The tank rotator can be easily set up by securing the attachment rings on both ends of

ISO tank and place onto the rotator stand.

� The tank rotator is easily activated electrically; without any manual effort.

�Working personnel need not climb onto the tank during set-up or use.

� The MWP completed with guardrails / handrails where all the open sides of

the tank are guarded preventing workers falling from height.

� It will be required when repair work must be carried out on top of the tank

without rotating such as re-cladding the exterior of ISO tank container.

� It can be fitted on any tank in the workshop without much restriction.
