Develop a strategic plan that addresses the future of NCC
Explore and obtain diversification of funding for sustainability
Consider expansion of the NCC Develop a method to ensure members have
opportunities to participate in various projects Increase regular communication to all members
about committee activities Develop an annual report that includes
achievements/highlights and transparency on how funds for the coalition are used.
In 2010 – 2011 a process evaluation recommended that the NCC:
Developing a Draft Strategic Plan
Convened small group of leaders to initiate strategic planning process
Drafted initial plan based on their input Circulated draft for comment to planning
group and to CDC Revised plan and circulated to NCC
membership Revised again based in input Discussion and finalization

Revised Mission and Goals Coalition-wide Objectives
Positioning and impact Governance and Communication Membership Sustainability
Annual Committee plans in writing to include: Working with private sector Addressing health disparity Communication with others in the coalition

Streamline Limit standing committees to 3
Form Special Policy Group (SPG)s First on Adolescent confidentiality
Reinvigorate steering committee 1 person from each standing committee 1-2 at large members
Ensure committee and SPG work is line with NCC goals
Review and think strategically about membership
Lead development of business plan

Improve communication and increase transparency Strategic plan to be sent to all members
and be on website Quarterly tracking of progress objectives
