Have a cultural new year! by Dóra Mészáros

dgdfgsdgsdfgsdfg

Hello AEGEE people all over Europe (and beyond). Join us to experience what is like to belong to a culturally sparkling team!

Topics of the month

We’ve already had two meetings since the new board was elected. Apart from organizational issues we tackled the cultural alternatives for CWG’s 15th anniversary event in the first part of February-“AEGEE Capital of Culture” (stay tuned!) Besides a new fantastic Culture Action Day took place in AEGEE-Yerevan.

What have we done this month?

As we had elections in December, we finished the knowledge transfer in the first part of January.

Now we after dividing our tasks we are working on having contacts

from all over Europe for organizing common Summer Universities and want to renew the image of the working group, having a new logo and mascot.

We also organised a Skype meeting for all CWG members which will be held on 29th January. This will be for getting more CWG members involved in the actions and tasks of CWG and for motivating people. Regarding the EBM, we are organizing the Cultural European Night for EBM (find the Open Call in Announce-L). We want to see your dances, dance your music and taste your delights.

We in Education Working group do believe education can be fun. We are searching for many interesting opportunities that Mobility programs give and do believe Non-Formal education is useful tool for changing the prejudice, us, labour market or even the world.

Topics of the month

We have started to discuss about the future of Youth in Action program and its possible future inside the new initiative of the European Commission "Erasmus for All". We have been consulted by the CD about this topic and we sent an application for a workshop with this topic for EBM.

In January we plan to continue our research and discussion about the topic and to continue preparing the workshop for EBM. Moreover, we plan to re-start with the

discussion of what means Non-Formal Education for us.

What have we done this month?

We had elections this month. We had four motivated and excited candidates and they were all elected so new board of EWG consist of Jorge Miguel as speaker, Ani Khachatryan as secretary, Ana Koridze as HR and Liliya Buyukliyska as PR.

We are also building the plan for the whole year and preparing a real meeting in Brussels and dividing the tasks among group members and start the preparation of many topical discussions and contribution, as well as Mobility training school coming up soon.
