Excel I 2010 $125 ITSW 1022
This course includes hands-on instruction and practice with Excel 2007, the spreadsheet program from Microsoft Office. Introduction to terminology, machine use, program parameters, display characteristics, formatting features, mathematical functions, and printing. Students will understand basic concepts of spreadsheet (Excel) functions, create formulas, charts, graphs, and generate reports. All course materials included. 12 contact hours/1.2 CEUs.

Frequently Asked QuestionsWhat is Workforce & Continuing Education?The Workforce & Continuing Education Department offers specialized training courses that can get you started in a new career quickly or help you advance in your current career. These are noncredit courses-they do not apply toward a credit degree, credit certificate, or academic transfer. Many of the Workforce and Continuing Education courses can lead to a nationally recognized certificate or state credential. Upon completion, students receive a Victoria College Certificate of Completion. Students are not required to apply for admission to the college or take entrance exams for these non-credit courses.
What is your cancellation policy?Victoria College reserves the right to cancel classes and change class times or instructors as needed.
What is the Refund Policy?100% refund is given if a withdrawal request is received before the class begins, or if the class is cancelled by the College. No refund is issued after the class begins. Police Academy students will receive an 80 percent refund if the withdrawal is completed during the first five calendar days following the first class meeting.
What special accommodations are available?Any participants with disabilities, who need special accommodations, should call to request those accommodations as soon as possible, but no later than one week prior to the beginning of class. For more information, please telephone (361) 572-6405.
Does Victoria College award CEUs?Continuing Education Units (CEUs) are awarded for most Continuing Education courses. A record of the courses you have taken and the CEUs awarded are kept on Continuing Education Transcripts. Copies of these transcripts are available in the Admissions and Records Office in the Student Services Building. Alternate forms of continuing education such as CPE (Continuing Professional Education) or CNE (Continuing Nursing Education) may also be available. Please contact the appropriate depart-ment for additional information.

Victoria College, in cooperation with the Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Institute, offers EPA Technician Certification courses. Enrolled participants will receive instruction in compliance with the Federal Clean Air Act, Section 608, and will take the EPA technician Certification Exam. Certification cards will be issued from ARI to individuals who pass the exam. Exam fees are included in tuition.
Note: Textbooks are required for this course and should be purchased in the VC Bookstore. Students are expected to read and study the entire textbook before attending class. Victoria College is partnering with Career WebSchool to offer online real estate, appraisal and mortgage courses. To be eligible to apply for real estate Salesperson License, an individual must be a citizen of the United States or a lawfully admitted alien, eighteen (18) years of age or older and a legal resident of Texas. In addition, an individual must furnish the Commission satisfactory evidence of successfully completing the following education: Texas Principles of Real Estate course [60 classroom hours], Texas Law of Agency core real estate course (30 classroom hours), Texas Law of Contracts core real estate course (30 classroom hours) and an additional three (90 classroom hours) in related courses acceptable to the Texas Real Estate Commission.

Truck Driving - $3,750 (Texas Specific) CVOP 1001
The Commercial Truck Driving course prepares persons for entry level employment in the industry. This course provides classroom instruction with emphasis on safety, rules, regulations and techniques. Behind-the-wheel driving range activities, public, street and highway driving are also included. Opportunities are available for students to meet with recruiters from the trucking industry. Students will take the Commercial Driver’s License written and driving examinations at the Department of Public Safety as a class activity. Students must pass DOT physical, drug, and alcohol assessment prior to registration. All course materials included; up to $60.00 reimbursement provided for permits. 286 contact hours

Basic Motorcycle Safety - $195 MBRC CE01
The Motorcycle Basic RiderCourse is designed for both the beginner rider and the experienced rider to sharpen existing skills and learn new ones. Special emphasis is placed on mastering full control of the motorcycle. The course also covers advanced physical and mental skills needed to ride the motorcycle safely, and defensive street riding strategies. Upon successful completion of the course, students are issued a MSB-8 certificate which should satisfy The Texas Department of Public Safety’s driving exam. Motorcycle and helmet provided.
