Most companies work inefficiently in managing and administrat-ing more or less standardized processes and user-based tasks. This often results in confusing tasks, inefficient teamwork and long correction cycles. The only way to replace such a time-con-suming and unspecific handling of processes with one or vari-ous participants is to install a unified workflow mechanism that enables an efficient automation.

Solution

With the hybris Workflow & Collaboration Module clear work-flows and user tasks have to be defined only once so that the standardized processes can be started and run automatically whenever it is needed. It is possible to set-up whether human or system based workflows should be triggered, depending on the type of process that should be automated. The Workflow & Col-laboration Module is fully integrated in the hybris platform. This

allows hybris users to define, monitor and manage templates for detailed workflows including tasks and responsibilities in the hybris Product Cockpit. Tasks or actions within a workflow can be freely defined and added per drag & drop or a certain workflow template can be used. Users can trigger predefined workflows for complex processes or ad-hoc workflows for one single task. Their execution can be linear, in parallel or after a certain previous task has been completed. The status of a workflow (planned, running or finished) is always displayed by a small icon. Responsible us-ers get notified in their inbox on their to-do’s by e-Mail. Further-more they have the option to make comments on their tasks or on any other hybris item and attach items to comments. All in all the hybris Workflow Module enables the efficient standardization and management of simple and comprehensive processes directly in the hybris backend and ensures efficient teamwork and clear task assignment.

With the hybris Workflow & Collaboration Module organizations can easily define, monitor and manage clear workflows and user tasks. Even complex and parallel workflows can be mapped and realized. This helps to establish standardized processes and makes them more efficient and less time-consuming.
